I already know the answer and plus I am asking these questions to get a second opinion and what others experiences is in terms of it.

For the Horde – BFA had better story elements & was overall more enjoyable for me as an altaholic.

:diamonds: Which is … very strange to say for both factions, because pre-Shadowlands many of us were like “Yaaay Shadowlands can save the story!” — That didn’t age well. :joy:

For the Alliance - Eh, was decent but kinda slow. I was always hoping for something ‘more’ of such. However I enjoyed Stormsong Valley.

Shadowlands had its moments but failed to deliver on a lot of other stuff for me personally, however I knew people who enjoyed its levelling experiences more than BFA so I suppose each to their own :person_shrugging:

Stuff I loved most about BFA:

  • The Loa
  • Tortollans
  • Old God References (Though it turned to be a dead-end)
  • The Zandalari & their culture world building.

Bfa leveling zones were/are actually great, it was endgame stuff like azerite that made it an unpopular expansion.

BfA by a mile.

SL started with Exposition Jiana in the maw and then dropped you into a on rails quest line were NPCs were literally grabbing you by the neck and flying you to the next quest.

BfA had a pretty strong evil mom and daughter theme with Jiana and Lucille

Neither. I level in either WoD (faster) or Legion (more fun).

Neither, Cata for the starting areas, then establish my garrison, open BFA, leave, go do legion, legion is the most fun. I go to SL only for the last few levels before 60.

BfA was better for two reasons.

  1. Drustvar
  2. Not being forced into a linear path that you’ll never finish by max level.

Either Cata, WotLK, or Panda Land.

What you posted — one is horrible, the other doesn’t exist.

BFA is my preference between the two. However, I enjoyed both far more than DF.

BFA was better because it was a more down-to-Azeroth story. Leveling and questing in BFA was great and it wasn’t as on rails (though it is somewhat on rails) as SL was.

BfA, hate Shadowlands story.

BFA had 15th anniversary KAV…winner BFA.

I hammered out 4 or 5 alts there. I also like a nice back and forth AV for actual pvp. With no reinforcment point “timer” if could be 1 hour, it could be 2 or 3. Good times that.

I have not seen ivus or the other dude since then. Sigh…

Shadowlands felt so hand holdy. I was always talking to some guy who told me to talk to the guy standing next to him, who told me to talk to the guy standing next to him…

BfA was fun because i had a pretty solid group of friends who would play together a lot.
Shadowlands that number dropped to 2-3 of us who played together a few times a week
DF im lucky if anyone wants to get on to play once a week…

Storywise I Liked BfA storyline more than SL, it was more relateable with not having to deal with an afterlife crisis

Cata Classic Dungeon Spam and / or Brackenhide Boost (much easier once you hit 20 and can turn WM ON).

I preferred bfa esp the alliance shipwreck siren part was super fun! Also stormsong and drustvar were amazing as well. I didn’t really like shadowlands leveling but I did like zerith mortis alot! :cloud_with_rain:

If they haven’t nerfed assaults xp into the dirt, I would choose BFA. Leveling during Legion invasions was awesome at one time. Shadowlands questing was just meh imo.

This was one reason I couldn’t stand the leveling in SL. Too much forced linear pathing in the story telling. You go from zone to zone in a nice little ordered way and had to do it all the way through once. I didn’t like that.
