BFA Tidy Plates help?

Hey, so last patch Tidy Plates was working. (kind of) It had it’s issues, but overall was a great addon. It seems that it’s not being updated anymore, and is currently not working for 8.1.5.

Does anyone know where I can either find an updated version, or a new addon that will do everything Tidy Plates does?

Also, if there’s a different Addon, is there any way I can port all my settings from Tidy Plates into the new addon?

As an example, I have my Tidy Plates set up so when allies are above 75% health their health bar is blue, between 35-75 it’s orange, and then turns to red below 35%. I also have a threat color set up. Anyone that has aggro on a mob has their bar outlined in a bright green so I know who’s currently being hit.

These are things that took me a bit to figure out in Tidy Plates, and was hoping there were other addons that could do this. Or have the ability to port these settings into the new addon so I don’t have to spend half a day trying to set the new one up. (Especially since nameplates only show up in combat. I can’t just hang out in the city and set it up.)

I tried with Tidy Plates in BfA. I really did. I couldn’t make them stop being horrible.

Switch to Plater. You’ll never regret it. It does EVERYTHING, and though the setup ui is huge and complex, it’s very easy to figure out, and you can customize literally anything on those plates.

Plater. Get it. Toss Tidy Plates because you don’t need that kind of negativity in your life.

As to your specific requirement, I don’t know that settings you’ve done in TidyPlates can be exported to the Plater mod, but You can customize colors and outlines and aura effects for you nameplates, and literally everything is customizable and stable after you’ve done it. I use Plater with ElvUI, and it’s been a breeze. Changing things has been easy and quick every time I wanted it to do something different. I really don’t foresee it taking you more than a half-hour to get it set up the way you like because you know exactly what you want to make it do, right? It won’t take much time, and Plater is still receiving maintenance, so it’ll stay stable.

Tidy plate hasn’t received an update in years.
Switch to plater. Take the two days it take to get used to it and you wont look back.

I downloaded Plater, but I’m not seeing anywhere where I can change the color of the health bar based on percentage of health. It’s either class colors or one fixed color.

I’m also not seeing anywhere that will let me highlight the friendly player who has aggro. The threat section only lets me highlight mobs who I have aggro on. As a healer I want to know who in my group currently has aggro on them, not the mobs.

Try Threat Plates, it’s basically the new version of Tidy Plates (I think it’s technically called Threat Plates Tidy Plates, or was at some point…). It has settings for health %-based colors iirc, though I may be misremembering…

I downloaded it, and it seems to be doing a better job at what I want than Plater so far. I still have two issues with it.

The first is that there are only two channels for nameplates changing color based on health. I want three. That way I can have one for above 70%, between 30-70, and below 30. That way I can look at the color and know right away if I need to scramble to heal someone, if they’re alright for a second, or if I can ignore them for the time being.

It also won’t let me change the scale of the health scaling. I can’t set it to my own values. I haven’t tested it out yet, but it could activate the low health color at 10% for all I know.

And the second issue is that I like having the threat color change happen to only the border of the health bar. That way the main health bar can still change color depending on the amount of health they have. So far this one only has it so the entire bar changes color with threat.

Edit, can’t seem to get the health bar to change color based on threat. I have the settings set up for it, but it just doesn’t do it.

I swapped to nPlates after tidy stopped working.

Tidy Plates is now called NeatPlates.

Kui does everything Tidy plates does, I just wasn’t sure if I have to install all of the extra features.

Switch to Plater. It’s the best nameplate addon.
