Apparently doing the first two steps of an annoying chain for Tailoring that teaches how to make Synchronous Thread causes Tanaris to be phased until you complete the dang thing even if you dropped it after seeing how tedious it was going to be.
Now my Priest with Tailoring can not kill Doomwalker or see any of the NPCs in Caverns of Time… because I didn’t finish a quest two years ago that seemed like a huge pain.

Just wanted to follow up that by returning to Zuldazar and doing the rest of the Tailoring quest chain I was able to access the anniversary event on my Priest.
If anyone else sees a Chronal Anomaloy instead of the normal NPCs and decorations, head to Zuldazar or Boralus and the NPC should appear next to you to continue the chain.
