BfA Storyline... What am I missing?

Been playing wow since the original beta, but stepped away from the game around WotLK. Jumped back into the game about midway through the BfA release. I have leveled up my hunter and I think I have played through all of the major Alliance BfA storyline quests, but I want to make sure before jumping onto one of my old Horde characters and leveling them up to see things from the Horde side.

I have searched the web, but I can’t seem to confirm if I have seen all of the major story elements play out on the alliance side. I just recently reunited Jaina with her Mom, played out the siege of Boralus quest, and then watched the ceremony take place with Kul Tiran officially joining the alliance. I have also sailed to Nazjatar and Mechagon, and in both of those zones I feel like I am now to the point I am just grinding rep with daily quests or world quests.

My biggest question mark comes with the warfront campaign. I know there are more quests to unlock with 7th legion rep, but I didn’t know if these quests ever related back to the main storyline? At this point I am really only interested in continuing on this toon to see the alliance story, and if I am “caught up” so to speak, I would like to start working on the Horde side of things.

Any insight would be very helpful,

Thanks.

There is a significant portion related to the 8.1 section that you haven’t seen yet by the sounds of it. As you say, it is locked behind 7th Legion rep. Keep an eye on your War Campaign directive at the top of your quest list at the side of the map. It will tell you what’s up next and if/when you need more rep to push further.

Without wanting to spoil too much, it explains the main Alliance v Horde battle from the Alliance PoV, and sets the stage for the 8.1 raid (Battle of Dazar’alor). If that isn’t of enough interest to grind up the 7th Legion rep, I think you have seen everything else.
