There is no excuse for this. BFA content should not be scaling to 60 for people who are max level.
BFA content should only be scaling to 60 for people using that expansion to level.
Went back to do some quests there because there is nothing to do in DF and it almost takes as much time to kill a simple BFA mob as it does a simple DF mob.
What is this crap?
And on top of that you left pathfinder a requirement?
As level 70s we should be able to go into these (what should be) level 50 raids and wreck them.
Why are you doing this to us blizzard? Stop the scaling crap and fix your game.
You are not wrong - I was on a level 60 hunter doing a little pet quest (need more tokens lol) and someone asked for help with a world quest. I toddle over to help and wow…
It took the two of us, both 60, more than four minutes to kill the pair of mobs. It’s taking less time to kill elites in SL or Flappy Islands.
The overworld and Normal dungeons are 60 because Blizzard is insistent on new players being funneled there to level. The Raids and Heroic/Mythic are 50. But yeah, I don’t really understand why they couldn’t just leave it where it was and make Chromie Time the option when you get to your capital after Exile’s Reach. BfA is no way what I would call a good introduction for new players. Never has been, and I don’t know why they think it is.
I have not ventured into old zones much lately, but the issues since the stat squish then the level squish have never been fixed, done very poorly. It feels like they gave up and just force funnel everyone to the new content as quickly as possible and hope no one notices.
I did notice some of my odd level toons had there item level ( or power ) ruined in comparison to what it once was. My level 52 DH had decent gear for that level during SL, now it’s half what it could be at that level. Making that toon way underpowered instead of being on par like it was.
I started playing during wrath, 1-80 felt like a true progression, very enjoyable leveling experience. Why they can’t create that same feel to the game, or why they are not trying to create that same feel baffles me. If blizzard really don’t care about old content then they should just delete it and make room for more magical islands that mysteriously appear.
I guess it’s a good thing you didn’t set foot into BFA dungeons as a leveling character then. It seems like they only want people who are up to date to have the capability to farm crap from two expansions ago as they have been bumping up the levels to the cap minus 10. Bold move for them.
The funniest part about that is they’re forcing new players there but have left the BFA dungeons in a completely busted up state. Most new players wouldn’t be able to complete the dungeons because of how many unavoidable one shot attacks are present (due to broken mob attack scaling thanks to non-existent testing and QA) and some straight up broken encounters. BFA dungeons are complete wipefests. What a great experience for new players!
Didn’t all of the previous expansions scale up to 50 when we were in SL?
As in, level cap was 60, so all non SL content scaled to 50 regardless of if you were chromie timed or not, and then stopped at 50?
So, level cap is 70 now, and everything scales to 60 and stops at 60? Seems pretty consistent.
Not sure how this is busted…
What’s really busted is the fact you can get ilvl 130 items with gem slots at like level 25, man, low level bgs have been a blast. Aimed shot is even more broken now than it was prior to patch lol
Yo, quick question - what gear were the toons in? I’ve noticed that the gear scaling updates completely broke some items, where they remained at their pre-DF ilvl, but other items (and the mobs you are fighting) scaled to much higher item levels, sometimes quadrupling the stats of the pre-df bugged items.
So what I’m saying is that if the gear makeup was of the pre-df ilvl bugged items, then you could have been fighting mobs designed for 2,3,4x the stats you currently have.
