BFA rating inflation?

Ive heard that if youve reached 2k in BFA, in legion you would have been 2.2k and in WoD you would have been 2.4k cr. Does anyone know if this is true or how inflation works? So if im a 2.2k player in BFA does that mean in legion i would have been a 2.4k player etc etc?

didn’t you play arms/x in legion and hit 2.2, then proceed to spam every thread with that bit of information?
if so, you’re a sub 1.5 player at heart and no xpac will change that

it’s the opposite.

Using your comparisons - bfa 2k would be legion 1.8, not 2.2

it’s the opposite look at it like this, r1 being 29xx in most legion seasons and rank 1 being probably near 3300 in bfa means that being 3k is about the same at being 2700 in legion , being 2700 in bfa is about the same as being 2400 in legion being 2400 in bfa is about the same as being 2100 in legion, so for u being 2200 in 2’s is like being 1800 in an older xpac

You are right and that is also the correct use of the word inflation and not deflation like the op described.

BFA rating achieves mean less than any expac before, and this is coming from a guy who went from 2200-2300 player pre BFA to 2600+ in BFA.
