BFA Price Change

Why the hell is BFA MORE EXPENSIVE than pre-ordering SHADOWLANDS? I was just about to get 3 of my friends into WoW since BFA was only $20 but they updated the price back up to $50 right before they all bought the game. Normally that wouldn’t be a big deal, to be fair it was on sale for $20 but I figured that was a permanent change until Shadowlands came out since to preorder Shadowlands it costs $40 and comes with all of BFA’s content. So if you can preorder Shadowlands for $40 or buy BFA for $50 why the hell would you ever buy BFA? $20 seemed pretty reasonable for the latest expansion especially considering a new one is just around the corner.

I have spent YEARS trying to convince my friends to give WoW a try. Getting them to spend $35 just to play the game for a month was hard enough but now I don’t think they’ll be playing the game at all since no one is about to spend $65 on a game they are already skeptical about enjoying. I don’t know who decided charging $50 for BFA was a good idea when Shadowlands gives the same amount of content BUT MORE for only $40. Blizzard PLEASE reverse this change and just keep BFA permanently at $20 until Shadowlands comes out. I don’t know why you would up the price back to $50, it simply makes no sense at all.

Hmm dunno why it posted this under WoW Classic, this should be posted under my character that I’m posting with now. I don’t use the forums so sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.

They should really update the trial level cap to level 60 or something.

Maybe level 20 will be fine with the level squish. But now that people are getting to the Starter Edition level cap in an hour, it’s kind of a problem!

And I agree

The summer sale had a planned end date. You should have them wait until SL anyway - the leveling experience is supposed to be far more enjoyable for a brand new player.

I’m sorry this happened! That bites. But they don’t need to expansion up all the way to BFA right off. Have them try it and if they like it, pre order Shadowlands.
RAF them too.
*edit- coffee hasn’t kicked in. Recruit a Friend.

What makes this suck even more is that the in-game store income even outdoes subscriptions.

yeah that’s nutty
