I mean it’s kinda true though.
I have seen Gushing Wounds be anywhere from 40-50% of someone’s damage, maybe even more. At that point a vast majority of your damage comes from procs because there are lots of other procs doing damage too.
Also practically doubling any secondary stat with Corruption amps.
The power increase is crazy!

Without corruption people wouldn’t be doing any damage in pvp. That’s the sad part.

Anyone who has a stats addon can tell you, the leading cause of damage at least in PVP is Corruption. And we arent talking by a little. Its comical to watch people die so fast when the one attacking isnt even in contorl of it.

stack 200 corruption with other 200 corruption players and fight a heroic or normal boss.
And watch the orange parses flow.

It would be back to the high dampening games of s3 and would anyone want that? I personally like longer games because I feel like I have a fighting chance in those but I know they get tiresome and annoying after while.
Didn’t really mind corruption besides GW. It should have had 17-18 corruption budget. No reason how rogues now can have 9xGW and not have any negative effects of corruption because it totals out to 0 with a max cloak+10 from 8.3 essence.

I think even the most skilled players in the game (probably you tbh) were still helped quite a bit from the effects of corruption. What is the highest level of key that you and your group were able to clear with uncorrupted gear this season? Have you ever tried it? Out of interest.

Ever since they ticked over the ptr to having dead corruption, it’s been practically untestable. People can say tomorrow will be a good test but not at all given talent changes, tuning of bosses/dungeons. Not unless someone would willingly try it out on live and breaking their own gear. Don’t see many people doing that.

Wjat ever is considered “high” is relative to context of the season.
With out corruptions 24/25s would be as impressive as 28/29s were this season.
You can’t say corruption “helped” anyone.
Also flattered that you think I’m most skilled in the game. But not even close unfortunately:(

But it will get decorrupted anyway, yes? I wonder if anybody would be willing to get their whole team to decorrupt all of their gear and kill Mythic N’Zoth. That would be SO cool!

Still not a 1:1. Dungeon/raid bosses bosses are getting tuned to fit the absence of corruption. And even if our stat percents would be exactly as they were had we cleansed on live its still not comparable. That’s if that was all done tomorrow.
Convincing a group to have done it this last week would have probably only happened on alts. But plenty of people were doing sales and stuff. I don’t think the higher up players would just have time in order to try and prove a point.

That’s fair. I probably wouldn’t decorrupt my gear either because of my attachment to it - I want to put it all in void storage so I can remember it down the road. And then, in patch 11.2 or something, I’ll laugh as I remember my sister telling me that Infinite Stars looked like the sky was farting!

I think (could be wrong? never tried it out myself) the void storage cleanse but yeah I will try and hold on to my three sets. Just need to make space somehow.

Am I missing something? If a “novice” is timing 28s then I might as well uninstall the game because it feels literally impossible for me to time a key higher than 17. LOL!
