BFA pathfinder tips?

Hey all, been on this pathfinder grind for a few weeks now and I’m friggin exhausted. I have 7th legion done, champions 4720/12000, order done, proudmoore done, storms wake done, and tortollan 1250/12000.

Does anybody have ANY tips to please help me with this annoying grind? The seekers and champions are taking ages and I just want to fly already. I saw in a video somebody said you can do island expeditions, get 100 doubloons and turn those into soggy pages which kojo will buy for 250 rep and its repeatable, is this still a thing? I will for sure jump on that if so, that will make the seekers FLY by, but what about champions?

Any tips is greatly appreciated. I just want to be done with this.

Contracts and mission table will help out.

Out of curiousity, when did you start playing BFA?

Start of January but I didn’t really start doing BFA content itself until recently, as soon as I started doing it though I paid attention to what I needed for pathfinder and started working. Now I do my dailies everyday and make sure I always have missions going. What are contracts?

They’re things you can buy in the AH (made by inscription) that give you +10 rep with your rep of choice with every WQ. So if you get Contract: Champions of Azeroth, and use it (it lasts 7 days), every time you do a WQ, regardless of who it is for (including COA!) you’ll get an extra +10 rep to COA.

Oh duh, I knew that. I had one active for seekers. Need to grab another now that you mention it.

At launch it only took ruffly a month to get my reps. Of just doing regular gameplay. And the part 2 reps only took 3 weeks.

Contracts, darkmoon faire has a rep bonus, wm has a bonus to. Follower missions can give rep at times to.

Having a human character gains rep faster as well. Had you been playing during the 15th anniversary event there was a 3 month rep/exp bonus.

Sadly I was leveling during that time. I started new on my current realm and was grinding my way up. I wish I had be 120 at that time, rep would have been a breeze. Sadly I did not start the grind on a human, I should have but my DH was already much further ahead. Im gonna grab a contract now, and always have missions going, what are follower missions? Is that different from the mission table on the boat? And hearing you say part 2 rep is making me really depressed, is there really reps for part 2? If so, its hidden, because for me it just says explore nazjatar and mechagon.

Follower missions and the mission table are the same thing.

Ever since blizz locked flying to achievements theres always 2 parts. The second part is timegated. Bfas part 2 was grindable when we got najatar and mechagon. You will need to explore the zones, do some quest chains and grind rep with the 2 zones up to revered to unlock part 2 with part 1 then you can fly.

The najatar rep is easier to grind. It took me about 3 weeks to complete part 2s rep grind. The mechagon rep takes slightly longer. Some of the quests for rep are not up all the time. To access some of them you have to build a special warp gate that pulls you to an alternate future. There you can get some more quests for rep.

Its all very tedious but not hard. Grand total all the rep took me a month and 3 weeks. The timegate between part 1 and 2 was a year long.

Hey there, just so you know there’s more. Pathfinder part 2 requires Mechagon and nazjatar reputation as well which take a few weeks too.

For mechagon: You can fish these 10 or so fish if I recall(forgot how many), and turning all of them in give 25 rep each, 250 total everyday as well. Takes a bit to get them all.

Im really depressed now and feel betrayed by blizz. Part 2 does state I need the reps, but its really small at the top of the achievement and not a big clickable thing like usual, so I missed it. I have also not even began mechagon and only scratched the surface of nazjatar, when I could have been doing it this entire time. FML.

Yep, they tried to kill flying outright in wod. Players hung them for it.

So their response was to timegate and make us jump through hoops to unlock flying.

Then called it immersion… lol.

The pet battle that show up in in the part 2 zones also give good rep. If you can win. Never had luck myself with the fish stuff.

Slog through quests, grind rep for weeks and all that un-fun crap they are making us do now for flying.

Reason for Pathfinder:
Blizzard decided to sell gold (WoW Token). They then realized that charging 180k for flying, would be completely idiotic. As was their decision to sell gold, but, it makes them money. Now, they have been at it so long, they dont want to change it, yet players are growing increasingly bored and angry with the fact that flying is such a PAIN IN THE BUTT to get now.

contracts, quests, Dark Moon Fair ( DMF ) has a Rep hat for 1-2 hours limit. they come from the daily game boxes and i think it’s called DMF top hat. think it’s 10%? maybe 5% one of the 2.

if not already doing it or for future reference doing it on human is faster due to racial of rep gains. i found it pretty easy until i got to the nazjatar and mechagon rep idk much about that but it felt so f’ing slow tbh once i got to those ones. maybe i was doing something wrong

See I didn’t mind it in WOD because there was only like 5 reps to do and you had so many dailies to grind each day, I don’t remember it taking that long. Legion I skipped because I got bored soon after it launched and didn’t grind jack at 110 and quit off. BFA I have really enjoyed so far but this really just ANGERS THE HELL out of me and makes me want to stop playing altogether. I thought my grind was almost done then come to find out I missed some tiny fine print stating that I need to grind EVEN MORE… UGH!!!

As far as pet battles, I do them as I can in the part 1 zones, extra rep, some are easy, some are hard as hell, and ive only got 4 different 25s to pick from.

Now everybody keeps saying do it on a human so here’s a question, I’ll finish part 1 on my DH since im already like 5/7 reps in, if I pop the part 1 achievement on my DH, can I do part 2 on my mage (human)? I ask because I remember doing TGS, and SSV on my DH then getting bored and doing Drust on my mage, and I still got all 3 achievements for loremaster to go through, can I split part 1 and 2 like that? If yes, ill start doing naz on my mage, before my DH gets too far in.

Mechagon and Nazjatar really aren’t that bad for rep grinding; Mechagon is never in emmisary rotation, but every day there is a world quest worth 850 and several other quests that will get you a bunch more; it should only take an hour or so a day for about 2 weeks to pound it out.

You shouldn’t. You’re playing old content and trying to catch up. The rest of us played from the beginning and got all this done when it was current. That’s not on Blizz, it’s on you. Consider it part of the leveling process that you need to complete to get where everyone else is at.

Also, how the hell do I get the questline for mechagon? I have nazjatar, but the only bit of mecha that ive seen is a dungeon. Nobody has approached me with a quest and I don’t even know where the area is… I assume its AFTER naz?

Wod didn’t have the gold token bit. They tried to kill flying. Their lie was immersion.

We have had pathfinder gor 3 expacs now. And blizz will keep doing it.

It all boils down to the time played metric they show off to stockholders.

Back in wrath leveling you gained about 10k so 5k to fky was reasonable. And half of your profits leveling. They should keep doing the same.

I noticed though each expac i really don’t gain much gold from leveling. A fresh toon you don’t even gain the gold needed to get flying at 60.

Gold gains that we use to gain from wod and legion have been destroyed. snd bfas mission table Doesnt give you jack for gold.

If you wanna mske gold in bfa abuse ah or cough up real money.

On ally side the quest starter is at the main hubs flightpath. Not sure if there are prerequered quests though.

Entitled much?

It’s on Blizzard that they alienate a significant part of the potential playerbase due to their pathfinder decisions.

What part of leveling is timegated?

Grinding rep to catch up is 100% fine. Time gating that rep for people who are catching up is not.

IMO the best solution would be infinitely respawning WQs and emissaries. In that case, late players would have to grind as much as early players to get their flying, but they would not be timegated.
