BFA kicks me in the teeth yet again

Just kind of funny I guess…

Been casually playing this pally a bit for somethin’ to do. You know how that goes. Warfront had 2 hours left so I figured I’d drop a little gold (50k) on a pair of 370 hands to make the jump up to i320 so I could enter the warfront and not have to wait 3 more weeks…plus the new one but I haven’t read up on that so I who knows, might be a week for that one anyway.

So, I bought the gear and went and got the quest.

Well, I’ll give you two guesses what my reward was for completing the warfront. lol

I’m not all that bothered so no need to over analyze. Its just one of those things that continues to fall flat for me in BFA. Figured I’d help someone out with a BOE sale on the AH and take a little shortcut to get into the warfront. No big deal really, just sort of figures I guess.

Of all the things to drop…a pair of 370 hands was pretty much the ONLY comparable piece of gear this guy had. :no_entry_sign:.

So, random loot is random? I’d hardly blame that on BFA.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I am 99% confident rng loot has been in the game since vanilla.

No, BFA seems to have a bad aura following it around where little silly things that can go 50 different ways seem to continuously go the worst way possible.

Random…yet always bland and dull and a bit old at this point.

Well you also get a 340 from the same one so it was worth it. Just unfortunate timing but you’ll laugh about it in a month when you are 370.

There’s such a thing as too much RNG. BFA, and to a lesser extent Legion, have it.

If you possess the item you were purchasing, but don’t wear it, you still get credit for ilvl. Next time, just keep the item in your bag until after you see what you get from any quests handing out high level gear.

You’re probably right. It could also just be my bad luck with the RNG gods for the last, oh I dunno, 2 years or so. :yum:

In my situation I still had to equip the item to get into the warfront in the first place. I wasn’t sure if the 370 item would get me to the required ilvl320 so I had to equip it before it had any effect on my ilvl.

If I was already 320, I guess I could have waited to see what I got but that was the whole reason I went and bought the hands you see. It was just a bit surprising that the RNG gods decided to give me another pair of 370 gloves for my efforts.

I imagine there is some dev somewhere grinning ear to ear and muttering “working as intended” lol

It shouldn’t, you just need to scroll over your ilvl on your character sheet, and it will give you your max and current ilvl.

What does their class have to do with the problem they stated in the post? Clearly you didn’t even read it before coming in here to complain about complaining. Be less of a rogue please. (See what I did there? ;D )

because the changes promised to shaman and sp that were coming in 8.1 are not coming at all, despite having waited since bfa launch for it.
so BFA kicks me in the teeth again, on the eve of the next patch launch…

Ya. I hear ya there. My main is a Hunter. Not sure anyone is 100% happy with their class at this point.

Well, maybe Demon Hunters. lol
