It’s been this way since scaling, which is the reason it will stay as it is.
Scaling, stat squish, level squish, I think it just messed up the whole thing personally.
I was able to solo Eternal palace on my lock. The Queen’s court was almost a road block for me because of 99% damage reduction mechanic.
Why is this confusing? We’re not asking to one-shot the current raid, we’re asking for the ability to solo raids that’s going on 5-years old.
For what purpose?
Raids are meant to be played with a raid… 10 to 25 people.
In the past, players would solo raids, not because it was an activity that Blizzard provided explicitly, but because it was somethign that couldn’t be done solo but they tried it anyway. If they managed it, it was something unique and extra ordinary.
How about we just let raids be raids? If you want to try to do them solo, by all means, give it a shot, but it doesn’t need to be its own, purposely designed activity.
Instead, advocate for more actually designed solo experience (which they have been doing for you).
Except it is. Once Blizzard realized people loved doing this activity, they put in achievements to collect pets from old raids
They also go back and make bosses that require more than one person soloable. What people are complaining about is since BfA they have drastically slowed down on updating the raids.
So I have no idea where you’re getting the idea Blizzard doesn’t design old raids to be soloable.
Clearly… its not, or this topic wouldn’t exist, because Blizzard would be revamping all of the old raids so that they were solo-able right out of the gate.
… they purposely go back and make bosses that aren’t soloable soloable. What the hell are you even going on about?
The complaint is how fast they’re doing it now. It used to be when a raid was 4 years old, it got nerfed. So BfA should be soloable now.
Clearly they aren’t since it hasn’t been done.
Again, why do you need a “I win button”?
Why do you care? How does it affect you in any way?
All the raid fights from vanilla to Legion have been made soloable. There are many bosses from each raid in those eras that were not soloable, no matter how much you out leveled them.
So yeah you’re wrong and don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.
Easy just stick a IE like vendor in front of old raids that sells damage boosts and a range buddy that you can send on attack or to interrupt
…what?
old raids relied on to do what?
Soloing raids from multiple expansions ago was not considered unique/extra ordinary.
They literally have systems in place…designed to let people solo old raids.
Your statement is only true if you believe Blizzard is perfect and infallible.
Or maybe they didn’t balance something properly. Or havent gotten to this one yet.
So your position is that Blizzard is absolutely perfect? I hope I never see you ask for anything.
How about no. People enjoy running soloing old raids, Blizzard knows this. It does not affect you in the slightest. I will choose what I advocate for.
We moved quick from Legion OMG!! to BFA OMG!! Given how slow Legion took to be easy on Mythic for all classes
Some people still like to be willfully obtuse on this subject, I see
I win button… Honestly what is there to win? Sub 200 ilvl gear right?
Current expansion raids should be tuned for their original group size.
One expansion old raid should be challenging to solo/duo, but they should not go out of their way to make it impossible.
Two (or more) expansion old raids or any other non-tw content for the matter should be easily soloable both because common sense dictates that in a game where you supposedly get stronger each expansion and because finding group for those takes ages!
It has worked like this up until 9.0.2.
To divert the attention from the lack of content in the current expansion. It worked for a while in SL, because those who care to farm older expansions for various vanity items were kept busy way longer than ever before SL.
Unlike m+ and current raids, this is a rather casual activity (about what story mode is in other games) so while it might seem easy to some players, the actual target audience will only get frustrated with it if this goes on for long enough.
I finished Atal Dazar alone with my warrior with Shadowlands expansion.
This was done way after BFA right?
Did you consider that the reason I wasn’t done for BFA was because there are technical limitations to back engineering these encounters to work for something that they were never designed to do?
Lol right? “What do you mean Blizz lets you solo old raids???”
