BFA is Growing on Me

I find myself enjoying the game more and more and I’m looking forward to what’s coming in 8.1.5 and 8.2.

So far:

  • Battle of Dazar’alor has been a fun experience

  • Warmode is full of action now

  • Azerite gear allows for more preferred talent choices

  • New allied races are within reach

  • Rewards for various content give good gear now

  • Wintergrasp will be here Soon™

Overall, I’m happy with the current state of the game and can’t wait to see what’s coming up.

Have you changed your mind about BFA?

Not so much, I’ve had a stead stream of appreciation since It launched. Very quickly becoming one of my top three expansions.

Its started to grow on me too… I used a fungicide to remove the last traces of it

I’m enjoying it. I just need to finish Pride of Kul Tiras and I’ll have the Kul Tiras humans ready to go. I already have Zandalari done and ready to go.

I’m super excited to play a Zandalari troll. I’m race changing my blood elf day 1 when they are available.

Content wise… the thing that has me most interested for the future is that gnome area. That mega dungeon looks cool as heck. Plus I’m interested in seeing if those junker gnomes become future allied races or possibly additional customization options for the gnomes that we have to unlock (like the night elf black eyes).

All in all, I’m happy and having fun.

It grew on me for a while. Kinda like barnacles.
Just needed a good scraping.

Sure but raiding in general has never been so closely linked to doing boring out-of-raid content, in this case WQ’s and IEs

May be too soon to say, /2 on Alliance all day was full of people whining that our buff is only 15% now and we don’t have the weekly, thus many turning it off again/

Choices? Illusion of choice, perhaps.

I already have the rep for KT and Zandalari on my Alliance and Horde toons, respectively, but the Allied Race system is the largest insult to the playerbase to ever come out of Blizzard development, essentially telling players they must repeat the same content, the same quests, for multiple weeks, to play a new race? And calling it story driven? Get out with that.

This was supposed to be on the “cons” list, I think? People who get their 2200 rating gear, or mythic raid or M+ 10 gear continually see their work trivialized by some random fresh 120 getting an obscene Titanforge with a socket.

Never count Blizzard eggs before they hatch.

Yeah. Day 1 I was enthralled with the environment. I was loving the quests. I was waiting to see what Azerite would become.
I did not realize I’d be repeating the same quests, albeit as world quests, for 4 months and repeating Azerite progression every time I win a new piece, and spoonfed world quests to do just about anything else in the game. My opnion of BFA has tanked.

But Ion always did design good raids, I’ll give him that, and as long as my gold income supports tokens, I’ll keep raiding, but even that is becoming hard to enjoy the way raiding is being stripped.

I think it’s pretty fun. I’m still waiting for the KT’s tho, and to beat up Jaina.

I look up to her so much and being frozen while she runs away will be wonderful!

Name checks out.

As a player returning after seven years, I think it’s a great expansion. The game has come a long way since I quit after hitting 85 in Cataclysm. Most of it for the better. I’d say BFA is a pretty great expansion. It has me hooked again.

Questing has been great. You still have the mundane gathering quests, but there has also been a pretty great quest and scenario driven story that I’ve enjoyed. I’m having a good time questing.

Though I find the theme and story of Azerite armor boring, i do like using item advancement as a way to build your character. I preferred Legion’s weapons to BFAs Azerite armor and neck piece. I hope they keep item advancement in the game from here on out. I’m really enjoying it. The traits are mostly effective, unique, and enjoyable.

World quests make rep grinding a ton better. One of the reasons I quit the game was rep grinding. I hated rep grinding dailies. I absolutely despised them. Going to the same place to do exactly the same thing for a handful of gold sucked. World quests with various rewards with emissary quests is great. Feels less like a chore and more like a worthwhile game activity that fits the story and theme of the game.

Mission table seems more useful now. I like the varying missions on the table. I like being able to obtain rep missions from the table. I do wish we had received at least one class based follower for the table.

Island Expeditions are fun. I like the treasure map. They don’t take long. It’s a nice break from other activities of straight up combat. It’s a good place to practice rotations.

Overall, a fun expansion. If they improve the story behind Azerite gear and come up with better names that seem more like class specific armor, I would like it more. Right now it seems like plain oatmeal or bread. Sure, it does the job, but it’s boring.

As an altaholic, this is easily one of the best expansions in leveling multiple characters IMO.

I’m also super excited for the upcoming Naga content.

Everyone that still play BFA right now probably agreed with you.

Great if you’re a Hordie, very meh if Alliance.

Blizzard has made it obviously clear that they don’t care about the Alliance this expac

Other than the Azerite Armour and the terribly written story, the actual game itself isn’t all that bad.

No the game design is now even more shallow then when it first came out. Nothing has changed. They’ve only added more of the same and continued a story that makes it hard to follow even if you have characters in both factions.

I enjoy it because the things that bother other people arent bothering me, but I do have a big issue with how they have handled some classes and specs. I felt like enh shaman was great in legion, but it was such a paper class that it felt ridiculous to use.

they fixed its paperness but now it feels weaker and slower and still not worth it, with low utility.

I dont like that they seem to have lost sight of what certain specs are supposed to be and refuse to give thier customers long wanted things like 2h enh and 2h frost. It blows my mind Aff Warlock is STILL a top spec no matter what.

Im a monk main and monks are in a great spot so I wont complain, and my personal favorite from legion, SV hunter, plays fantastic now so that was really nice and made me happy. ( I actually prefer the legion version, but it had serious flaws)
