There are no other expansion that can compete with it, there are just too many tracks that are good, voldun, the new naz, the music from battle of d. seriously what changed at wow when it comes to music cause something changed, been playing since 2004.
FFXIV has a better soundtrack.
Are you playing it and posting here? Must not have much to do?
The Crow soundtrack has been scientifically proven to be the best soundtrack ever.
My, my. So defensive. Why might that be? One could play both games and compare the music between them.
Not defensive just asking questions. Is that consider defensive? I mean I can ask question.
It’s okay, but I prefer the atmospheric tracks of Classic & TBC.
That was an awfully defensive posture. Almost like you subconsciously know the superior product. And to be clear, WoW has the superior forums by far. That’s the most entertaining part of the game these days.
How can you determine my questions as defensive? How can you see posturing via typing? See ask you more questions.
Well that didn’t take long… and I completely agree.
It’s almost sad to think what people are missing if they actually think WoW has a strong soundtrack. It’s non-intrusive atmospheric tracks, nothing all that special.
Shall we give them a show?
Sticking to some largely spoiler-free stuff for the moment, but there’s still a few good tracks without delving too deep.
Well can say this much from my time on WoW I have enjoyed pretty much all the soundtracks. I think the Music department really did a great job.
My favorites are from Wrath of the Lich King. I could name many more.
I think Cataclysm has the best soundtrack in the history of the game.
That and the Queen of the Damned soundtrack were an excellent lineup of songs in my car CD player back in the day.
BC has all wow soundtracks beat.
Now in terms of JUST music:
BC > Wrath > Vanilla > Legion > Cata > WoD > MoP > BFA
Nazjatar is the best BFA track but it’s still not as good as most stuff from BC or Wrath.
The new soundtracks are too “epic”.
I prefer the music from Vanilla, it was hypnotizingly beautiful.
Not enough ambient tracks. Nazmir is horrid.
I do like the music you mentioned, but it’s not near the best.
The login menu music from Classic was BALLER.
Eversong Woods, Howling Fjord, Grizzly Hills, Stormheim, Talador, and Dazor’alor all have music that make me forgot what I am doing and just run around the zone.
And of course the login screen music from WotLK. I spent more time with the login screen open than in game, and I spent a disgusting amount of time in game.
I mean… have you heard Karazhan opera music? Storm peaks at night? Sunwell final boss music?
Let’s all agree that the World of Warcraft has the best soundtracks to offer, not limited to one particular expansion
They knocked it out of the park with this one. I’ll always be a wrath baby, them tunes really bring me back.
