BFA free after Shadowlands pre-patch?

Hey all,

As someone who’s been following but not playing WoW, I am keen to finally properly jump in for Shadowlands. My plan was to level a new character through the new levelling experience after pre-patch to be as close to ready as possible for expansion day.

Ordinarily I would have just played the base game until expansion day, but now that BFA is a core part of the leveling experience, it seems to me the most reasonable thing would be to make BFA free after pre-patch. Is this the case? If not how will leveling work for non-BFA owners?

Thanks

Maybe even during.

The way they’ve set it up, it won’t work without BfA. So, because of that, it’s highly likely that BfA will become a part of the base game in the pre-patch. (That has also been the pattern for a while where the current expansion gets rolled into the base on or before the pre-patch.) Still, all we can do is speculate as Blizzard hasn’t said anything as far as I know.

Ah ok, hopefully you’re right then!
Thanks
