-azerite grind for pvpers is too much
-pve grind for pvpers is too much
-maledict trinkets for everyone is not unique gameplay, stale
-pve trinkets in pvp too strong
-rng gearing is not fun (honor and conquest vendors were best)
-too many passive azerite traits
-still not much for rewards (spec specific cosmetic piece of gear at the different achieve brackets might encourage participation, which we need)
-loot boxes are not interesting, even give a .1% chance at something cool
-class changes / tuning is too infrequent
Yeah, MoP had a ton of abilities and was outstanding.
I get not wanting classes to feel homogenized, but there is a way to make all classes feel different, have satisfying rotations, and powerful feeling abilities.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that having more abilities is bad, the problem is that Blizzard sucks in balancing things and historically they were super-ultra-mega-blaster bad at balancing newly introduced crap … which means that there’s a HUGE potential to introduce insanely broken stuff, making the game worse for several months until the figure out how to fix what they broke…
Gold is boring. Youre not thinking critically enough. People wont start doing arenas for 90 gold like they would for cosmetic rewards / rng chance of a mount
my favorite part is when i get rival on my rogue and im getting 385 gear for like 5+ conquest bars straight and i have to farm arena 12 hrs a day to finally get to the 400 ilvl piece conquest bar meanwhile i could have done m+ or raid and got the gear instantly there. i understand the skill cap for PvP is lowered to anyone with a rock as a brain can play it compared to what it was in the past but do you really have to ruin every single PvP’ers experience the entire expansion? then say no we can’t add vendors because they have too many options when it has been never complained about in the past because people know PvP takes more skill than PvE. getting rival in WoW is not equivalent to normal raiding as you can literally pug normal raids and ignore mechanics but can’t in PvP? like the thought process is completely favoring PvE players and it just seems like blizz wants to kill off there PvP player base knowing they have a hard time trying to balance it so it will just ultimately save them money. which is the end goal. who cares about the player experience amirite?
i just find it funny that i see tournament competing players at blizzcon have lower ilvls than heroic raiders on this game. shows how much knowledge they have on PvP. can someone experienced in PvP(have at least glad/r1) design the reward system please?
Exactly, what is the right amount of abilities. Classes should have strengths and weaknesses. Every class having everything is bad and every class having everything removed is bad as well. Both sides of the spectrum. MoP was one end and now BFA is the other end. We will get some abilities with 8.2 and hopefully, i doubt it, but hopefully they learn and add abilities back going forward into next expansions.
MoP shaman was such an amazing design. Every spec was viable with multiple comps. Tons of diversity utility and how you built your class. It was so much fun that my heart is heavy with how sapped it feels of the fun.
I am mostly having fun with this expansion. PvE is a lot of fun for me, but PvP is in an awful state and things need to change or else arena will actually die.
When I think of what made MoP fun, burst was high but so was burst healing. You could lose during a CC chain putting a lot of emphasis on positioning. We don’t need to neuter healer Mana, the first change is increase healing power and damage output. 8.2 adding back things that we lost is the second change. Third is straight up removing Maledict.
