Srry I didn’t run BFA dungeons for a long time and recently my brother said for some reason they are harder and indeed they are. They even changed the name of first boss and ilvl 198 on mythic? Is there something special going on?
Just Blizzard’s screwed up scaling that might be fixed in the next 4 years or so.
Yup. I queued up Freehold after getting the quest a couple days ago and quit. Trash mobs took forever to kill, as did the first boss. Wiped on the second so I left. The tuning was seriously messed up.
I’ve had the Lord Stormsong quest in my log since BFA. A couple of my characters have been able to solo him using varying tricks to get around MC but not my monk. So I queued up to tank the N Shrine of the Storm today.
First group wiped twice on the first boss since no one could be bothered to get out of the way for his rush attack, or to stand in melee range of the 3 tentacles. After the 2nd wipe three people left, so I did too.
Second group went much better but once we got to Lord Stormsong, it took 3 more wipes (and 2 people leaving and getting replaced). We tried our best with the mechanics, but it basically came down to luck: on the successful attempt the boss never MC’d the lvl 21 mage that we had in the group. Scaling is so broken that she’d be almost invincible, so no one could damage her to <50% health. She’d always be the 3rd or 4th person to get MCd (yes, the fight took that long), and there wouldn’t be enough orbs for her to soak. Honestly, by the time we downed that boss it felt like we defeated a mythic raid.
So…yeah, way to introduce brand new players to the game, Blizz.
Yea my brother was telling me name of the first boss, and I was looking at my journal that shows completely different boss. I was like. its either some event, or its added in some M+ cycle
it’s because we aren’t level 70 yet!
this is what some say to most scaling issues lol.
even content where 70 should not matter, is broken.
and this was DF only the kicker. Prepatch Pvp has a reason to be trash right now. that is SL and DF all 100% fully functional lol. that was destined to be rough as hell.
worst case this won’t get touched in 10.0 for a while. I am already seeing the no lifes making for some funky simms and dungeon data leading to raid opening week by thurday for the initial funky graphs. ANd that will get the balance focus. always does.
20 things wrong with the game out of raid…but somehow raid boss X moves to the top of the list.
It’s a terrible experience for a novice player to enter a dungeon and be instantly killed. Now I’m level 50 (118)and enter a BFA dungeon and I’m still being instantly killed,I think this kind of vulnerability is a higher priority
