BFA dungeon mounts need to increase in drop rate

I do 9 KR and 12 mecha a week, add in all the M+ I done in BFA, now spamming Mecha again and nothing. Thankfully I have UR and FH. Friend of mine has multiple accounts and run those four dungeons a fair number more than I do, they have none currently.

Thousands of runs between us across those 4 dungeons and what do we have? 2 mount drops only. Either the drop rate is bugged or it’s just way too low.

Nope

Mount farming is not supposed to take “few weeks running 12 characters”

If that would be so I could get every mount in the game in about 2 months running 12 characters through every instance for hours a day

This would not only be very unhealthy behaviour, but unrewarding as well.

Take your time to enjoy the process, or don’t do it at all.

You do not need any mount, if you have throughly convinced yourself you do, to a point of stress or frustration, getting this or that wont fix it.
After they nerf this, you will just frustrate yourself over the next now rarer mount you now “need” to run thousands of runs for.

Try a few years of me running 12 and my mate, and no I am not kidding, who has 8 account and some 400 characters doing it multiple times a day, all day, every day.

Rare mounts are rare. That’s why we seek them out. There’s a reason no one rides around on

Just ask yourself am i really going to use this? Youll find that answer to be no on most mounts and then youll realize its not worth it

Have you even seen the four BFA dungeon mounts? There is nothing rare about them, they are all recolours of recolours. We need to stop making this generic excuse because some mounts are in no way rare or even good and it’s not the point of me wanting to use them.

Some people collect things in this game, and I am one of them, and I don’t want to sit here for another 2-4 years 12 times a week or more farming the same dungeons over and over.

I’ve said this before enough times, I don’t want free content, but I also don’t want to spend a significant amount of time doing the same content for no reward, I would like to tick off some of the things I have spent a considerable time doing and than move onto something else the game offers.

How about you dont do twelve runs a week for a thing you just want to tick off a list for a start?

As I said previously, this behaviour will get you nowhere, you’ll just jump to the next unthealthy and even more unrewarding thing you can tick off

It is not a mount drop issue, its an you issue.

Collecting is about amassing things you like, to be surrounded by things you’d enjoy.

If you do this just for an addiction, a compulsion to finish meaningless lists so you can feel good, stop it, its no good for you

Me too. And if I got them all quickly I’d run out of goals to aim for.

Anything under 1% needs to increase in drop rate.

Me too and even at 1% drop rate I’m never going to collect EVERYTHING

Maybe he finds it fun.

How is it fun if he seems to describe it as so distressing it needs to be changed, and so do you

About subjectivity, everything in a game is. so I hardly gather your point

Collecting is fun, collecting stuff with <1% drop rates is not.

That the statements you made aren’t relevant because they are subjective.

people need to stop asking for instant gratification, whether that’s collectables like mounts or gear, it’s really not good for the game to just hand things out to people. Having collectables that are rare gives you things to work toward longer and extends the longevity of the game for people that enjoy the hunt, and you get a bigger dopamine hit when you finally get the drop.

How about you do what you do and I do what I do.

So far I have had a good run with mount farming over the years, equivalent to something like 1 mount per 2 days over the long run, but seeing how bad the BFA dungeons are compared to the rest they have either set the drop rate lower for whatever reason, or it’s bugged like how the ToS mount was bugged.

So yes it could possibly be an issue on Blizzards end, they have done it before where they had mounts that would not drop and have had mounts that were set to a much lower drop rate than it should have been and have fixed the issues.

Running thousands of runs in a handful of dungeons and not seeing the items drop, with many other players saying the drop rate is quite low compared, than yes it could very well be an issue on Blizzards end.

And yes I do find it fun, to a degree. Much like the ToS r Blackrock raid mounts where they were either bugged or not set right, running something this many times with no reward does eventually become unfun to keep doing those dungeons.

But change cannot be made unless we say something right? It’s the same argument for the Sylvanas bow, we complained it was a low drop rate and they changed it, hopefully they can do the same for the 4 BFA mounts and make it a little more bearable for the mount collectors in this game.

Much like players who PVP, raid, run M+ or do whatever they enjoy, we are also a part of the community and our opinion on what we enjoy doing should also matter.

What part of ‘thousands or runs’ is asking for instant gratification? I have done the content a rather large number of times just for myself, it’s not like I went in there for the first time last month and now just want the mount mailed to me because I cannot be bothered doing it again.

If I ran the dungeons a dozen times and complained or had no other details to show how bad the drop rate is than yes you could say I am asking for something free, but that’s not the case here.

I have about 260 runs on Utergarde Pinnacle for the blue proto over the last couple weeks. Still no drop. According to Rarity, I should have a 97% chance at the drop by now…

From experience 2-300 runs seems to be a good place to get mounts. Sometimes you get lucky, like my 6 kills on fallen, my first chest in ZM, my first rare in Korthia. Other times you get super unlucky, 2000+ runs in Firelands for one of each mount only ever seen.

But the BFA dungeons, they don’t seem right. They feel a lot lower than what would be considered normal for a dungeon drop.

I still dont have invincible or phoenix or galleon or others and i run them all the time im not whining to be given things just because ive been running for a long time

I believe BfA dungeon mount drops have a lower drop chance than something like the blue proto. According to Rarity, the blue proto is a 1 in 77 drop chance. BfA dungeon mounts are a 1 in 100 I think? That being said, I did get the raptor from Kings Rest whilst it was current content in a 5 man group. So I won both the drop chance lottery and the 1 in 5 split lottery on that one.

It feels a lot lower than this for BFA dungeons TBH, that’s raid territory and all the other dungeons felt a lot faster to obtain than what BFA is, and I should know a little bit, I have every other dungeon mount in the entire game.
