Tomorrow the expansion will end for Shadowlands and we will miss it. Azerite armor was the best mechanic in the game’s history as it refined what Legion did. Legion locked some abilities behind a long and RNG time gate while BFA just enhanced your already finished class. The raids and dungeons were amazing and the PvP was great too. They could’ve done some stuff better, but they did great still. We will miss you BFA, but you will hold a special place in our hearts.

the only thing I can think of that I liked was Mag’har Orcs and that whole story aside from that the whole thing feels like a lazy B plot story with a lot of unnecessary systems.

I thought bwamsamdi and rastakhan were very cool and a character high point of interest for me. We killed one… Oof. but at least we still have the other to look forward to.
We need to wait a decade for that.
I agree that they did generally a good job with story. But, as Alliance, I don’t think I ever got a story quest to go into Motherlode, Atal Dazar, King’s Rest, Underrot, or Temple of Sethraliss (although there was some intro quests regarding a conflict between the snake people). Maybe I’m forgetting, but I don’t recall a quest to go in Uldir either. As someone fascinated with the lore, these were big disappointments.
Azerite Armor is a horrible system that limits viable builds and makes armor that is an ILVL upgrade (and usually hard-earned) worthless if it does not have the right mods. In general, these were balance issues that were never fixed. The Titan Residuum system could have helped a lot for acquiring Azerite Armor, but it gave too little per scrap (scrap more than 20 ILVL 445 to get ONE ILVL 460) and you could only pick the exact piece at the highest tier (at prices that are ridiculous for 99% of players).
Essences and Corruption Gear took away a lot of class identity, and the Corruption system has similar problems to the Azerite Armor. I liked the only-you-can-see-this mechanics and horrific visions, but the time-gated cloak upgrade / corruption resistance grind was very painful and hurt alts a lot.
And, as has been a general WoW problem engrained into their business model, the grind of daily quests (now World Quests / Emissary Quests and Assaults) is massively boring content that I am compelled to do because of the disproportionate rewards offered (disproportionate both in terms of difficulty and time spent).
