BFA Alliance War Campaign This Ain't Mine Phasing Issue

After destroying the mines and boulders with the tank, I ride the gryphon to the front line. Except instead of taking me to the phased Orgrimmar it takes me to the non-phased Orgrimmar where I am killed by the guards but before I can do much the game reloads where I am killed again and the process keeps repeating. Even after I release, by quickly hitting the release button before the game reloads again, the game just keeps reloading before I can do anything so my character is stuck in this reloading cycle outside the gates of Orgrimmar as a ghost…

Edit 1: Even after force exit and relog after waiting 15 minutes the load and reloading cycling keeps continuing.

Edit 2: If I am able to hit the “Return to Graveyard” button before the next reload it takes me to a loading screen then to another leading screen. This repeats a few times before I am taken back to the non-phased Gate of Orgrimmar where the reload after every few seconds begins again.

I am also having a similar issue with this quest. It seems that if you have the Shadowlands summoning quest, what you need for “This Ain’t Mine” is not there. In my case, I couldn’t turn in the quest to Saurfang/completing the following quests in the chain. If you abandon the Shadowlands quest, that works for a few seconds before you auto receive the Shadowlands quest again and no longer have access to the “This Ain’t Mine” scene. It is very annoying. Especially if you want to finish BoA before playing Shadowlands.

Same issue here. Got stuck and then had to use the move character fix on Battle net. Hopefully they fix this quick. I really just want to finish BfA before starting Shadowlands.

Can confirm this issue for my toon as well. Horde version of the storyline, in support of Saurfang. ‘Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons’ for Shadowlands disrupts the phasing of the ‘Breaking the Cycle’ finale of the BfA war campaign. Must abandon quest for Shadowlands repeatedly to phase back into ‘Breaking the Cycle’ quest chain / complete quests.

Slowly completing the quests. It seems to persist even after speaking to Saurfang.

(1) Abandon ‘Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons’.
(a) Phases character into quest chain for ‘Breaking the Cycle’
(b) About 20 seconds maximum passes, able to complete objectives and
interact with NPC’s in phase for Breaking the Cycle
(2) ‘Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons’ appears on-screen, asking you to return to Orgrimmar at once.
(a) Phases character out of quest chain for Breaking The Cycle, back into
Shadowlands phasing
(b) Unless abandoned, will permanently be phased-out of Breaking the Cycle
quest chain

Seems to be Horde specific, and for those Horde who chose to ally with Saurfang. In non-war mode, I can see alliance players phased-in without phasing out like my character.

@BLUE this is happening and needs attention.

This has been has been happening on my alliance toon for the This Ain’t Mine quest. Landed on the gryphon into a loop of death and reloading. Seriously frustrating and such a waste of time. Currently a ghost and going to try to move character in the morning, but this should not be happening.

My reply from support about this issue:

Thank you for contacting us in regard to an issue with a quest. We are experiencing a high volume of tickets right now and apologize for being unable to discuss the issue further with you.

I have the phasing issue on Horde side. I just came back yesterday and I’d like to finish up the BFA storyline before moving on to Shadowlands.

I’m also having this issue! I started a bit of the Shadowlands campaign so I can’t even abandon the starting quest to phase back in at all. Saurfang won’t appear for me at Jaggedswine Farm and there’s nothing I can do to advance any further in the BfA War Campaign.

I too am having this issue on alliance side.

I’m having the same issue with the loyalist side of the quest chain. I can’t finish the “Traitors in our Midst” quest because of the phasing from the Shadowlands intro quest.

Managed to get through this issue by constantly abandoning the shadowlands quest over and over while I painstakingly completed the remaining quests, even while in the cinematic I kept getting a loading screen, had to watch it on Youtube.

This continues to be an issue. I have used the move character service twice and waiting for another 8 hours. The recommendations haven’t changed the problem and now the character won’t even load (stuck on the load progress screen).

This problem has not been resolved in the last month. Is there a work around that works?

I don’t want to purposely be rude to the bug/glitch fixers for this game but how long does it take to fix this? It’s currently January the 4th 2021 and the problem is still there.

Hm. I began a character and was doing war campaign (horde) and I ran into this today. It is currently 1/10/2021. I think the best that can be done is to finish shadowlands first or just wait for the fix.

You all still having issues? I have been having issues and got a reply to the support ticket to check wowhead and delete addons.

The Shadowlands quest is ruining this quest and making the people not appear

Yeah, the only thing that worked for me was just doing the beginning SL quests, then going back and doing this(after I did the character reset thing after my infinite dying spree). I wanted to finish this before attempting SL since it’s a brand new chapter, and it takes away from the immersion by running back to finish the BFA war campaign, but that’s how I got it to work. I really hope they fix it so that won’t be the only answer.
