I’ve been on a personal quest to grab the original ‘big box’ for all of the Warcraft games (Orcs & Humans to Battle for Azeroth), which was actually a lot more simple than I figured it would be. One thing did stick out though…did WC2: Beyond the Dark Portal only ever come in the jewel case? I’ve seen one or two listings for either a Japanese or Polish ‘big box’, but I can’t seem to find any mention of an NA version, either by shopping or Googling.
It came in a big box also. I’m pretty sure I have it, but it may be at my parent’s house packed away still. I don’t know print runs or anything but I’m guessing they just printed less of them since WC2: BNE came out a few years later and they probably moved to the jewel case fairly fast.

Yeah, the only listings on ebay currently are for a japanese box and an italian box.
I might end up going the b.net edition route…I’ll have to do some research on the manuals though. Thanks for the reply!
