Between the Eyes causes animations to bug

This a bug report for the Outlaw Rogue spell “Between the Eyes” For some reason after using Between the Eyes it causes various character non-combat animations to not function.

  • The bug will happen with any amount of combo points used for the finisher.
  • Various animations such as mounting up, mining, using a hearthstone, or using the Heart of Azeroth to absorb Azerite will not be shown and instead the player character will only stand idle as they perform those interactions.
  • The bug does not inhibit interactions, it only makes the player character appear to not be doing anything when mounting up or gathering.
  • Re-logging clears the bug, but as soon as Between the Eyes is used the issues return.

I have duplicated this bug on both the live version of the game and the Shadowlands beta, on three different races and also had a friend duplicate the issue on his account.

So that’s what’s going on! I came here to report that my female gnome was not performing these animations. But she’s a rogue, so if that’s what’s causing it, I guess it’s not a female gnome thing.

I’ll add that zoning seems to clear the bug as well. I hearthed back to Boralus after completing my Drustvar WQs, and once there, the mount animation started working again.

Still happening as of November 1st. Using ‘Between the Eyes’ allows my Worgen Rogue to mine ore using invisible psychic powers instead of a pick.

I too am experiencing this bug. I had no idea that between the eyes was causing it though. At least now I know why,

Hopefully it will get fixed with 9.0.2 instead of 9.1. I don’t want the animations to be broken for 4-6 months.

Pistol shot is also doing the same thing, and in both spells there’s no gun in the character’s hand.

Experiencing the same issue on my outlaw rogue exactly as described by Blumbo.
Zoning does not fix the issue for me though, only logging out and back in.

Experiencing the same issue on my Rogue, the only thing that fixes it reliably for me is logging out and then logging back in again.

I’ve also been having this problem. I really, really hope it gets fixed before launch, but it’s really not looking like it, sadly :frowning:
