Fury Warrior is far easier. Melee classes are generally easier to begin with, Warrior even easier, and Fury Warrior even easier. All you really do is click Bloodthirst and Raging Strike for rage, Rampage for rage spender, and whirlwind for AoE.

Frost Mage requires a lot more buttons to deal adequate damage and relies partly on RNG for damage.

Warrior by default is the right choice always :+1:

Play fury, it’s fast, fun. Frost mage seems clunky AF after playing my fury warrior

This guy doesn’t play fury… And what’s this click you speak of? Surely you’re not a clicker playing fury.

In terms of buttons for the class guide ā€˜Easy mode’ Frost mage is very simple. Frost bolt and play off procs on when to flurry/ice lance, blizzard in AoE, icy veins on CD.

In terms of playstyle Fury is very fast and fun. More buttons but simple to understand.

To be fair, frost needs some haste to feel nicer.

I do play Fury, and it’s really… really easy.

Fury is GCD locked, and has a relatively simplistic priority/rotation. It’s a bit less basic than it was in Shadowlands, but still.

Granted, I said Fury was easy in SL (because it was), and yet there was a rather high amount of universally bad Fury warriors that I encountered all throughout the expansion, so… Difficulty =/= Relevant expected output.

It’s been awhile but I remember Frost mages being the absolute bane of my existence.

Fury is about as easy as it gets, rotation-wise. I personally find being in melee and trying to spot the bad stuff on the floor among all the spell effects popping off to be a hassle, however.

I mean, I’ve been playing a warrior since BC so obviously I’m biased, but I do have an alt-frostie and still find the warrior much easier to play. There’s minutia to every class that takes time to learn, of course, but so long as you remember to burst at the right time and chain your kills appropriately so you can self heal efficiently, you’re quasi immortal in fury spec.

The dudes a clicker. I stopped taking him seriously when I read that.

I’m not a clicker, but this is a stupid take.

You use Raging Blow or Bloodthirst, but not both. It depends on the build. If you go raging blow, it’s raging blow until Rampage. Execute on proc if not at full rage. Otherwise rampage, then execute.

<<<<<<< Obviously.

Fury warrior for sure. Any ranged, save for maybe hunter or warlock (persistent pet makes a lot of things easier), is going to be a lot more work than most melee simply because if the ranged doesn’t stay ranged they go splat, so they have to be able to kite. Melee are built to take hits to the face better because if they weren’t they wouldn’t be doing anything but tasting dirt.

Note that this is from a solo/outdoor perspective, though. In raids ranged is maybe easier depending on how good you are at timing casts to fit between required movements. In dungeons it’s a tossup because ranged has to be more aware of their surroundings (don’t back into trash packs, don’t continue to cast when a puddle of fire appears beneath you, etc).

As is every other class in the game so not sure what your point is here?
