Betting on high elves

So your argument is that the Quel’dorei such as those of Dalaran and the Alliance Expedition are not Quel’dorei, just because their distant home/former kingdom formally left the Alliance?

The Quel’dorei of Allerian Stronghold or Dalaran with allegiance to the Alliance clearly didn’t care for that. Hence why they left Quel’thalas to begin with.

I feel like, if you truly are a fan of the High elves, like the elves you played in WC up until the events of WoW, it should not really matter which faction they’re on, you’d be happy to be experiencing and playing their story out from where WC3 left off.

As someone who doesn’t really care about either faction, I can say that I was more than excited to play a Blood elf when I saw that they were released, it didn’t bother me that they joined the Horde, I was just excited to play one of the surviving High elves, and experience their story.

The people making a big deal about it care less about simply getting to play High elves, and more about wanting them with a blue banner.

I feel like even this would not satisfy Alliance players, they want to play the High elves they’ve seen over the years, if they were just up and changed there would be an outcry that they were no longer High elves. I think that would just serve to add fuel to the fire.

They didn’t leave Quel’thalas, they followed Alleria because they felt it was the only way to assure their world wouldn’t be destroyed. Alleria says this herself.

In fact when you speak to the High elves at Allerian Hold they quite literally express their dreams of returning home to Quel’thalas once again. Auric Sunchaser immediately returns to Quel’thalas and the Sunwell upon the dark portal being restored and kil’jaeden’s defeat, and is seen referring to Lor’themar and Rommath as his lords.

Where is Pelinal when we need him the most?

Not me, Blood Elves are the High Elves it’s why Blizzard gave Alliance void tainted Void Elves because the real High Elves have been playable since Burning Crusade on Horde, I’d bet more on something like Ogres or Saberon or even San’layn than High Elves because that’s exactly what Blood Elves already are only with High Elf instead of Blood Elf but everything else would be 100% the same.
