i dont understand why everyone is getting so upset and stuff, like, I was just sharing a problem I had so others could possibly avoid it until the addon dev updates his plugin

Blizz isn’t going to assist when problems are caused by external addons. If the issue persisted through a full ui reset, the next step if you don’t feel like deleting random things until it works (I did, nothing worked) is to trash everything and reinstall the game entirely.
Wrong. They can absolutely help to get the game back to its original working, regardless of what caused it. And that doesn’t always mean reinstalling.
Which is what the OP needs to do FIRST. Thus, why I asked the OP, not you, if it was done. What you do is irrelevant to the OP, because nothing is the same for everyone and all steps must be taken first. Reinstall should never be the go-to just because. There are sometimes other options to try first. Tech is good at providing such options.
I’ve given the information I can. You aren’t the OP, I wasn’t talking to you about the UI reset in the first place, so I’m not going to keep this up.

The only reason I decided to install that addon was because I was never going to use the feature anyway, but damn am I miffed that even a reinstall didn’t fix it.

I was going to try and reinstall in a few when I was free but I guess not now…
i was confused about the problem from the get go how even after disabling/uninstalling the problem persisted…
but now that you’ve confirmed even a complete uninstall doesn’t do anything and WoW isn’t supposed to touch the registry like…i really really don’t understand now.
can some highspeed developer explain this pls.
Did you scroll to a different page? Any item that isn’t a drop (crafted items) can’t be tracked and will dim when you click shift. Items that drop in dungeons will stay normally lit.
