Personally I like the new guild tab. Guild chat history even while offline is something I love. Makes it so when swapping chars while talking in guild doesn’t disrupt the convo and if you log in and there is some convo going on you can catch up to it pretty easy. Without having to interrupt everyone on it
That is my opinion on it. Feel free to rage over it.

Yeah, sorry my 1400 hours in HC in less then a year makes me a fake classic player.
Fair enough, but maybe it would be better if it didn’t take up so much of the screen (be able to resize it at least). But the biggest issue for a lot of us is it’s a feature that never existed until Cataclysm, so it feels really out of place.

Current raid frames in classic didn’t exist in classic either. IMO its just a cultureshock thing. And its outrage will die down. It doesn’t affect the game majorly like if they added a dungeon finder.
Everything Era gets HC gets.

Its not flexing play time. Its saying I am not someone whose just casually stopping by to play classic. As you categorized me basically as a retail window shopper.

You didnt mention anything about HC until I made note of the small irony of a retail toon with a history of posting in the SoD forums likes the retail guild tab being in Era. Umm okay, you play lots of WoW. Thanks for the op-ed.
Some people just play Era and dont want the retail guild tab in it. Surely you might be able to understand where they’re coming from and not rub it in their faces with an invitation to scuffle over your irrelevant opinion.
I have a history on the HC forums, they are just less active.
And if you know of my SoD history half the time I spend it crapping on failings on SoD.
Its funny, People who only play retail tell me to go back to classic, people who play classic tell me to go to retail xD.
I have 1/4th the time on SoD which means I am a Classic window shopper using the logic lol.
Not a fan of the guild community tab.
What bothers me is the removal of the guildroster tab.
I did neither.
I actually like the new tab as well, though I feel like the window could be a bit bigger than it was. Still, this is Classic Era and don’t think anybody was really asking for that change, were they? If Blizzard is going to start adding QoL features, I can think of better ones… and even then, as much as I’d like, say, the retail LFG tool (not RDF), I can’t in good consience argue for it in Classic.
Imo RDF/LFG affects the state of classic a 1000x more then a guild chat history. It changes the social structure of classic. Into a more arcaded way.
I was pretty careful to specify LFG, not RDF… they are very different things. I agree with what you’re saying regarding RDF. This is not true about LFG, it’s just a UI over the chat channel, there is no group formation automation.
Whether or not you feel that is more impactful than a chat history overall is both subjective and moot… none of these belong in Era 
I mean either, yeah RDF effects it even more. But so does LFG.
Just to get your full stance on this then. You would say the raid frame changes they put in day one need to be removed as well since they weren’t in vanilla right?
I think the consensus among Era die hards is ‘stop changing Era’ - and maybe not insult us with the retail guild tab.
It doesn’t alter the game in any overtly significant way but as its been pointed out, no one wanted it or asked for it.
The new tab is absolute garbage.
Let us switch, if we so choose.
I think they have been pretty careful and the changes they have made have been bangers.
