Beta Testing

I didn’t realize open beta was here so I went and tested some of my own questions.

Hurricane’s (Gathering Storm’s) STR/Movement Speed stacking effect is affected by Haste and doesn’t stack past 6.

CS with MoaTW gives 4 seconds of Reck, which is actually the same as Avatar.

Fracture instantly wipes your bleeds and applies all remaining damage as separate, instant damage events. So, they all have their own chance to crit, but it does not appear that these damage events trigger Bloodsurge. More thorough testing should be done though.

SkS CD is still affected by Haste. It actually gets more value out of the same same amount of Haste because the actual time you are reducing the CD by is bigger.

For Fury, if you cast Reck with MoaTBr you get the rage amplifying effect applied to the Avatar rage gen, so with RA you instantly have 90 Rage. If you cast just Avatar then you only get the 20 rage, because the Avatar cast thas to exist first to trigger Reck, and the procced Reck does not grant rage from RA. If you macro them with Recklessness first you instantly get 130 rage (Reck + Av → Av + Reck, importantly Reck was the first buff active technically so it benefits both instances of Avatar) which happens to be the max rage cap. If you macro them with Avatar first you only get 70 rage. I imagine that macroing these together would actually not be the optimal strategy, but to Reck → Charge → Rampage → SoB → Rampage → Avatar.

Thoughts:

WTF is Fracture…you are 100% going to need some kind of WA/timer to manage that because there is no CD, icon, tooltip, anything in the UI to track it. I think the optimal time to use Fracture would be the last global of Av/CS/Reck, depending on math. If so, and if used that way, then you wouldn’t be able to simply look at your Avatar CD and subtract 45 to know the CD, you’d have to adjust for how many seconds after Avatar you actually used SkS, which seems subject to a large margin of human error to me. It’s extremely WEIRD that you would have to track a CD by looking at some other CD and then doing quickmaffs just to get an estimate, at least for a basic damage CD that’s weird, IMO. Additionally, SkS being Hasted and Fracture not (at least, I’m assuming it isn’t but I haven’t actually tested that) is really weird because at least if the CD of SkS was a static 30 seconds then at least you would know that if you are using SkS on CD every even cast wouldn’t erase your bleeds, but of course if you used it in that way your are almost certainly wasting it’s efficiency as a rage generator. So yea…there’s a lot of guessing going on here in terms of the actual gameplay (which was really obvious even before testing) and there’s a lot of anti synergy going on. I really like the base premise but this needs a LOT of refinement.

Reck from CS is what I expected, and I didn’t realize it was so short with Avatar. That’s really good for CS+AM though.
