Beta Opt In

Want to be apart of the Beta for Classic WoW? Make sure you Opt In! Oh and don’t forget that you have to be a content creator for twitch or youtube to get a beta invite. Played WoW since late BC and no invite for me. Doesn’t matter how long you played the game, done Beta testing before. But if you are a content creator to help advertise Classic WoW before August, you’re invite is coming or already came.

I played WoW in vanilla… and did a lot of end game stuff.

Still waiting.

ANOTHER TURTLE MADE IT TO THE WATER.

It’s because you aren’t a content creator to help push advertisement for the game.

I agree, I’m more excited about Classic then 8.2. Would rather beta test until release date, but I’m not a content creator. So Blizzard or Activision doesn’t need me testing their game before release.

totally but it’s only three more months

Your tears, they feed me.

Firstly its quite smart to let content creators have beta access you have 1000+ eyes on x amount of streamers helping with noticeable bugs and what seems correct.

Just remember that most of those streamers aren’t making much cash, and could be streaming fort nite instead. Classic Wow needs players and they are helping to bring them.

It’s not really surprising that they would ensure that popular streamers have access to the beta. This allows Blizzard to put Classic in front of as many monitors as possible, without needing to open up multiple beta test servers.

I have no doubt that there are other beta testers outside of streamers, but they dont stream, so how would you know about them ?

Everyone wants to play, but use your common sense sometimes.

No… they’re really not. Wow streamers are watched by wow fans. Most of the beta viewers are just people who didn’t get an invite. Let’s just be honest here. Kids who love fortnite are not rushing to watch wow streams or play WoW…

Wow was top 3 on twitch it definitely brought new viewers.

That’s a pretty ridiculous assumption. Of course a large portion of the viewers are people who are interested in the beta/classic wow. Why else would they be watching ? But assuming that they’re ALL people who were left out of the beta is a real fetch. Anything to help put the game out there is a positive.

I don’t think so. Lots of people that don’t generally watch streams said they’ve watched here. That can be a huge influx of viewers already waiting on the game. Average views on other top games didn’t really drop or suffer viewers rushing to WoW.

To be clear, anyone who played WoW since any time after Dec 2006 should have an equal chance to get in, but that chance should be lower than everyone who was there prior to Dec 2006.

Aside from the 1% streamer population, they want people who can give them feedback compared to memories of that era. Hell, Private Server experience is proving to be a negative for beta, because people can’t disassociate the experiences. So people who’ve had an active sub and have an active sub, since 2004 are more likely to not have played PS, and still have real memories of that time. That’s why they’re inviting that group first. Its a long beta and we haven’t even got 10% of the way in though.

Calm your boots.

again your making an assumption. I know for a fact that it has caught peoples eye who dislike the game.

You’re also making wide assumptions. Like 100K people randomly joined twitch for the first time yesterday, and of all the games, they just flocked to WoW and nothing else… come on man… use your head.

Blizzard really nailed the nostalgia, I remember these beta begging threads back on the forums then too.
