Can anyone with beta breakdown their take on tanks so far? Strengths and weakness’s for m+ or raid

This checks out.
Druids are particularly awful currently.
DKs and Monks are particularly strong currently.
Death Knights kinda fold to very very high physical damage. Monks fold to high magic damage.
If damage is taken Druids suck at it.

I’ve just tested these out on the PTR not the beta, but oh man does monk feel good. They made their mitigation baked into their rotation. It feels so good.

The monk changes are great. The only problem is the tuning. Currently on beta it does about 30% less dps than every other tank for some reason. If they bring that up to near equal with other tanks monks will be insane again. If they leave it I think DK/Pally will be the flavor of the month for launch.

What about druids is even bad? There dont seem to be many people testing it. I watch Nihilio stream it and he thinks its fine, it looks fine, but i think he is only doing heroics.
There just isn’t anything bear tank is good at. They are ok at taking physical damage, fairly bad at taking magic damage, mediocre dps and no utility. Stampeding Roar was the utility Bear/Cat druids had but now all specs get it so there is even less reason to bring a bear. Also it’s still the only tank without a slow.
The other tanks just do everything as good or better than druid and also bring far more utility. You can still clear content with bear for sure, but there is just no area where bear will outshine other tanks.

That’s sad as they’re the tanks I play the most.
I mained Guardian in WoD and Legion. Couldn’t play it in BFA, and unfortunately can’t play it in SL either. It’s sad what they did to that spec.

They should make a glyph of stars for bear form. I’ll be a see through human but when I maw, big bear claws swipe across the screen same with thrash.
I just want to see my transmog sometimes on my druid.
But right now they don’t feel fun like monk or DH.
Druid, in BfA, is already the worst and least-played tank in the game, and has been all expansion.
And bears are getting NERFED in Shadowlands. CC options reduced, self-healing reduced, and the “new druid things” like HotW and Cyclone can’t really be used by bears.
All I know is he spends an inordinate amount of time in beta trade chat begging people for help. Does he include that in his stream?

still kinda too early to tell. From what I heard there’s still alot of legendary missing. But I haven’t really full follow the beta
Basically, my favorite tanks from most to least are also ranked from least to most fun, in almost exactly the same order.

Im hearing a lot of talk about DK looking top right now, is this just do to the self sustain?
Curious how Prot Pal is too because i mainly heal PvP im just looking for a class with tank spec for PvE so Druid Monk and Pal
Meh. Warrior felt “okay” when I was testing it on the PTR but that’s going to be quite a lot different than how it would play as a fresh 60. (Beta access when?)
I’m rolling with DK. They’re a ton of fun and bring a lot to the table.
No mention of paladin. I am concerned.

Probably only a tiny bit below Brewmaster/Blood currently if that, and definitely far ahead of Warrior/Druid.
