On a scale of one to infinity, how excited would you be to receive one of these in your email?
I’m torn over whether I’m more likely to receive one with my accounts inactive or active.

Inactive Battle Net accounts will not receive a beta invite. If you have no active subscription, and you want beta, better fix that.
But surely they’d be better off luring back expired accounts than current people who are happily playing classic?
They are.
“Re-sub and you might get a beta invite.”
Incorrect. My nephew hasn’t been subscribed to wow since Cata, and he’s consistently gotten invites for every xpack. Being subscribed or not has no effect on whether you get a beta invite.
Actually, now that I think of it, I received a beta invitation for BFA without an active account.
Odd. A friend of mine got Vanilla, TBC, Wrath and Cata beta invites. Unsubbed after Cata and never got another one.
It’s all random. The only requirement is that you are opted in.
I always get them, but I’ve never unsubbed and have two running accounts.
I think every WoW beta I got invited to (minus TBC), I didn’t have an active sub. In other words…what you say is nonsense.
I feel like, if I where a CM, I’d have temp banned you for a misleading clickbait title.
I want a beta so blizzard can at least stress test there hardware and get a launch plan prepared.
I want to occupy myself by using it to try and test/build my first addon (or more specifically recreate an old vanilla one)
Probably a 7, since infinity is obviously 12. As much as i love Vanilla or classic, I’d rather have the whole thing now, then just have some and get the rest later.
I’d probably play the Beta to help find bugs and learn classes etc, or just give it to one of my buddy’s Did it with WOD and BFA and that ESO xpack that just came out.
To be honest, i got two 60 warriors on the infamous P servers right now i could log on, get a raiding guild, and jam. But eh I just don’t see a point to it. The Real classic is around the corner i can stave off my lust a few more months or years need be.
I hope you’re right, I was looking in my old email the other day, and not once in several years did I get anything.
I’m opted in on this account, but no way I’m subbing to modern wow unless there’s some sort of guarantee that I would get an invite. And that’s if there’s going to be a beta at all.
Let’s hope they announce soon.
The ONLY way to guarantee an invite is to be friends with a Blizzard employee and they would add you to the friends and family list.
Guess I’m SOL. Not gonna subscribe to a game I have no desire to play and just cross my fingers I get an invite.
Good Luck! But make sure you opted in though.
You dont need to have an active sub. At least that’s how it has been in the past.
For sure, thanks.
