Originally they automatically went into visage form for mounts and dragon form for combat.
There was an interview at one point where someone from Blizzard said that they were changing it so that that was no longer the case and that you could stay in your preferred form 99% of the time.
Hopefully they actually implemented that.
Also, I agree OP. The visage forms are awful. They need to just allow folks to choose whichever race they’d like.
Heck, the Dracthyr could have just been a combat form for Evokers and the class could have been given to all races.
Dracthyr as a race is kind of pointless considering that they cannot be any other classes. lol
It’s super weird and awkward. It could not have been that hard to make a horde visage and an alliance visage. Orcs just aren’t gonna be cool with humans prancing around their city even if they aren’t actually humans but dragons in disguise. There’s too much bad blood for even the illusion
I expect them to add more later, given Dracthyr just showed up and need to learn more. But if they don’t, its a utter disappointment and a waste to NOT give Dracthyr the ability to be what they wanna be, they’re suppose to be like the dragons except, you know, in playable form?
Okay here’s a question, can Dracthyr horde/alliance enter stormwind/orgimmar if they’re the opposite faction? because think about it, male dracthyr are blood elves female dracthyr are humans so can they?
Since we can only fly once every five minutes or when riding another dragon, I’m gonna go ahead and say we’ll all be doing dragons wrong by default before we ever even get to the question of visages.
i still get the creeps when i have a human targeted and they do that yawn thing. It goes from meh human face to just a great big chasm that fills the portrait. Its terrifying and just nope!
