So today is another maintenance, and a couple more hours to touch grass or get some feed back in. So far I have played 3 classes, created bank toon and explored 3 classes to varying degrees.
Mages: First things first this calls feels very different that all of classic and SOD. I feel like so much was taken and not much give in ways for performance. Maybe they will come more online after level 30 and launch *shrug.
Frost: Removing the slowing speed from blizzard feels bad, this combine with the effect that removing proc chance for down ranking spells seems to leave us lacking , especially when you have limited this to mostly DPS and no healers.*

Shaman:*** Great job here other than the Ghost Wolf form, would like to see the original flavor of classic model, I am not opposed to something new and different but using the Retail models for this and Druid Bear Form is just lazy imo. I want this game to be Forever DIFFERENT! in most ways at least if we could.
Warrior:*** So far I have enjoyed this class the most and it has not always been a favorite for me. The Arms tree is incredible! Let’s be real tho there is room for improvement, like the up time of Battle Shout could be a bit more substantial than it has been in the past, it’s just annoying to constantly have to be putting up and wasting rage on pull.
DO NOT add more convenience such as working summoning stones, this would ruin the social impact of the game imo, same with Dungeon Finder leave it like it is.
I have strong feeling overall tho this is going to be exactly what we asked for the last 10 years or more and I am excited to see it launch in November. I love the new additions a LOT, just less models and things from retail and use your more imagination with the models would be my opinion.
Not picking on you but your first couple sentences on mage don’t make sense. Hard to read. I think I get what you’re saying but I think mage is still too watered down.
I disagree with the take on Blizzard. One class was extremely OP and had an opportunity to blast far ahead of others. Fixing this is great. At 60, you’ll still be able to farm just fine with AOE if you choose that.
Mage as a whole is lackluster up to 30, I agree. There is not much to do other than still spam frostbolt and when you feeze pop ice lance. Feels bad. May change at higher level.
Downranking is antiquated and shouldn’t exist. Let us play the game. Change the mana cost to compensate so the highest spell is always used. Makes you feel stronger each time you learn something.
Shaman: I have “mained” Shaman through the beta and don’t have any complaints. Maelstrom will be an issue at higher level with 2H but they can adjust. I actually liked the glowing ghost wolf. Felt different. This is not classic, it’s a different game.
Warrior I haven’t played personally but my brother is and said it’s the most enjoyable class on the beta. He can’t get enough. With the rage changes, tanking is smooth and they are always using something on GCD.
Agree with summong stones. Keep them out of the game. I don’t think this will ever be a thing as it will contradict some of the Legacy talents like the faster FPs.
I need to learn to review and edit before posting indeed lol, appreciate the feedback. Yes seems we are on the same page with mages being lackluster in it’s current iteration, hopefully this will change. I agree the blizzard slow was OP, but nothing was really give in it’s place? Some more burst early would be nice .
Shaman is definitely in a sweet spot!
there could be other ways to do ghost wolf, making it more visible to party members is fine. but in PVP a lot of us have used this a defacto stealth of sorts or at least to provide a bit of the element of surprise. That being said I want better models not retail models for this something new is all I am saying and same with bear for sure.
