Beta Feedback

No clue why I can’t post in the beta forums but here we are.

Things I’ve found so far

  1. Surging totem is dumb and ugly, lazy design team couldn’t even mock up race specific ones
  2. Surging totem says it does 30% more healing than a healing rain. It doesn’t.
  3. Why can’t the stupid surging totem just tell me how much it’s healing for, rather than me having to hover over healing rain to find out?
  4. The healing rain pvp talent 30% does work with surging totem, the instant cast thing doesn’t do anything. Wasted talent
  5. The totem really doesn’t have any visuals, just some glowy eyes.
  6. The farseer ancestral thing has an awful visual
  7. The hydromancy bubble looks kinda cool at least
  8. Wind barrier doesn’t reset the buff duration of the shield if you cast a new totem. seems dumb
  9. Surging totem with whirling elements looks better, but still…WHY NOT RACE SPECIFIC. If they’re gonna use this dumbass bird, at least let the motes swirl around the player
  10. Tidecallers guard is the same glow as earthliving weapon. I feel like with that name it should be a blue glow
  11. Oversized totems does make surging totem bigger, so now it’s a bigger and dumber looking bird.
  12. Whirling elements seems like they ran out of ideas, you can use two motes on a healing wave, healing surge or two motes on chain healing. Should been something cooler rather than just ‘increase healing’. Why not like, healing wave will spawn a totem that gives earth shield to someone or riptide has a chance to overload your surging totem making it rain murlocks and dogs
  13. Imbuement mastery does not in fact increase earthliving effect by 6 seconds This does seem to increase the duration now
  14. Primordial wave says ‘Shadowlands’ under it in the spell book…
  15. This new spell book is about 12 inches too big
  16. Earthsurge increased healing doesn’t stack if you have 2 sources of earth surge… seems like they threw a dart at the wall and picked 3 random things that grant this
  17. Surging totem shouldn’t require you to spec healing rain or healing rain should be baseline

That’s all i’ve noticed, nothing was really changed with shamans they just gave us some rehashed stuffedpeppers and an extra riptide/lavaburst charge. Maybe next expansion we’ll be up to 4 riptides/lava bursts

The ‘Shaman feedback’ beta blue post is range inducing.

"Alpha feedback thus far has been of great benefit to us.

Now that we are entering Beta, our focus on Hero Talent trees is shifting away from reworks and design changes and towards tuning and refining." - Kaivax

They haven’t responded to any feedback. This basically confirms they don’t care to do anything to shaman. I am so angry right now.

Shaman are not alone in this. They have been very particular about which classes they work on. The fact that Hunter is coming next week (again a class that tends to get shat on) makes me want to wait and see.

Shaman need work, but they have not said they are not going to provide it… yet. Their communication has been very poor, but its Blizzard, when has it ever been good since the crab left?

“We know that some classes had five months for feedback in their hero talents and you had 2-4 weeks, but please no feedback on reworks going forward”

For real, this was the most ridiculous thing they could say. Hey, your last hero tree had 1 week on alpha, please don’t act like it needs major reworks or we might actually have to respond to you (to tell you we’re not going to do anything)

The feedback threads are all literally boiler plate. The text is identical between the paladin and shaman thread. Even the hunters, who are scheduled for an update to their tree next week, have the same “the tree is done” text.

So the thread isn’t absolute proof of no rework coming, it’s just a sign of copy-pasting multiple threads.
