Beta Eve TWW Rogue improvements suggestion thread

Call it wish listing, call it suggestions, call it feedback I am going to drop this here.

Rogue General tree in TWW:

  • Thistle Tea talent now grants haste and mastery. Down to two charges.
  • Cold Blood increases the critical strike chance of your next two finishers. CD increased to 1 minute and 30 seconds.
  • Alacrity haste doubled
  • Lethality numbers doubled
  • Recuperator now also provides damage reduction of 1% when 4 or more CPs are used with SND.
  • Acrobatic Strikes talent should be merged with Tight Spender talent and have the auto attack damage portion removed.
  • Shadowheart talent Leech should be 5% when stealthed.
  • Leeching poison talent should have 7% Leech.
  • Replace Tight Spender with a talent that offers 50% less energy on your first Ambush from stealth.
  • Echoing Reprimand changed to poison damage.

They specifically changed echo and sepsis to physical damage. They aren’t going back on that most likely.

This is why feedback is important.

They made a lot of changes without asking players so yeah that is what we must do.

:surfing_woman: :surfing_man:

  • Indiscriminate carnage no longer requires stealth now it applies garrote and rupture to all targets every 40 seconds
  • A talent to reduce shadowblades’ CD by 30 seconds to align with flagelion
  • Crackshot becomes a usable skill that allows the use of BTE without a CD (with the effects of the current crackshot) which is reset with combo points to eliminate the need for stealth
  • Some utility in m+ since the new invs pot does not share cd with the damage pot
  • Something that’s personal to me: I think rogue games should have a LOT of variety of poisons, each with an effect

Outlaw not being a stealth spec(physical sub).

Poisons being permanent buffs instead of a hour duration.

Instead of having a way for each spec to get SnD have permanent up time… just make it a passive and reduce our button bloat.

Ghostly Strike being a passive talent attached to SS and Ambush, because again, button bloat.

These changes i care for. The rest is neglible though. Those talents can hit the dumpster as far as im concerned (cept leech i have a strange obsession over leech)

It should just be 1 min

  • Indiscriminate carnage no longer requires stealth now it applies garrote and rupture to all targets every 40 seconds

This sounds like a terrible downgrade from what we have now.

that is basically what IC was before rework lol. And the whole point of sins aoe is to spread the empowered garrote from stealth.

Damn we really not getting rid of Echoing Reprimand for yet ANOTHER expansion???

The day Echoing Reprimand goes 6ft under will be a great day for rogues.

To be honest I don’t hate ER that much but removing Marked for Death but leaving in ER is baffling.

BlizZard made cut to the chase baseline for all three specs so that addresses SnD.

Poisons being longer duration or perma should be doable as they no longer go on weapons but actually are buffs.

Ghostly Strike is in a bad spot in that the CD is too long it is also a “capstone” which is fundamentally wrong.

A capstone that you just macro doesn’t make sense to me.

But turning Ghostly Strike into a passive isn’t a solution either.

i do not get the hate for ER, functionally its exactly like marked for death except its on a gcd. Your next cast after using ER is always going to be a finisher, because its pretty much guaranteed to land on the blue cp after using ER from no combo points. Then you have a whooping 45 seconds to land on the other 2, which you dont even have to go out of the way to make it happen. Theres no big brain requirement to use this ability

For such a value ability on even low cp gen specs like sin, the hate is very odd.

I enjoy the KiR build far more than I ever enjoyed HO.
It’s not like you even have to actively go out of your way to try and use up every charged combo point anyway. You usually end up using them all by pure fluke anyway.

  • bring back Marked for death as a pvp talent
  • reduce vanish cd to 1 min, or add a cdr talent to vanish in main tree. the double vanish charge is not good for pvp, cant make a defensive a burst tool, and having so much of assa/deathstalker pegged to stealth is not healthy for pvp and im sure pvers dont enjoy it.
  • change path of blood from 100+ energy to 100% increase energy regen or something.

note everyone not liking ER is cool and all, but in PVP it is rarely possible to double envenom due to constant micro CC. abilites like ER make it easier to get a double envenom off, and with blizz’s new obsession with talents like rapid injection “envenom does 10% more dam with the envenom buff active” + the deathstalker shiv talent increasing envenom another 10%, PVPers need a way to have this be a viable option, which MFD and ER solve unfortunately.

with the removal of dance, i can see assa moving from the current rework pvp playstyle of aoe bleed pressure with dance every min and will move to a more ST/cleave style as we cant just aggro vanish charges for pseudo dance mechanics. I think for pvp it will be focused around crazy empowered envenoms via rapid injections, shiv, ER, and amp poison. both fatebound/deathstalker seem to be single target focused either plague dam or empowered envenoms from flips

Superior mixture should allow you to have crippling poison in addition to a 2nd non-lethal poison

Slice N Dice

Ugh…

I absolutely hate this ability. Bad enough having to use roll the bones consistently as Outlaw, but also needing Slice N Dice is lame. That’s one keybind they could have pruned and only two or three players would have cared.

The removal of shadow dance from Outlaw will annoy me in solo pve content because I often used it to get off more Between the Eye shots in my opening attacks. The extra charge of vanish won’t help because the NPC will reset the moment I vanish.

In pvp, it won’t matter much as Outlaw because a charge of vanish will be available more often than shadow dance thanks to the ability that lets us reduce the cooldown of vanish when using finishers.

But yea, solo pve is going to suck now. In group pve nothing will change much.

I think MFD is more useful than ER because you can use it beyond just doing direct damaging finishers.

They could do that but I think it would have to be moved down the talent tree a bit.

I think it is a buff in PVP situations for Outlaw. Net neutral for Sub and a setback for Assassination.

But that can all change in beta.

def a set back for assa, main thing the spec brings in pvp is silence, and with no dance, you can only afford to use 1 vanish charge for aggro plays. so will be a lot harder to get silence off. its sad but removing dance is going to make NE mandatory yet again for assa cause meld + restealth is too strong to pass up
