Beta and stess test available but can't play

Nope, you’ve applied your own bias. As I usually say, I am not bitter about not having an invite, but apparently that doesn’t sink in. I’m fine with not being in the beta as long as its going well. That’s not “passive agressive” that’s the honest truth.

Thank you for admitting that I am regularly open and honest. Or did you not understand what that saying means.

Whenever I think I can’t be more disappointed in how Blizzard has managed the Beta they pull me back in only to be even more disappointed.

Sure you aren’t. Deny deny deny. You post about it every other thread, lol.

Emotional doesn’t necessarily mean open and honest, but anyway, going off what you said…

So… which is it, you are “open and honest” or you aren’t willing to admit to your own posting habits?

Can’t have both.

Again, I want to be clear, I’m not displeased in how they’re doing beta. Beta is meant to be selective. Do I want in? Yup. Am I upset I’m not invited? Nope.

My stances in this thread are entirely about poor communication, period.

Sure I can. Just because you’re claiming I’m lying doesn’t mean I’m lying.

Oh now I said you’re lying?

Good lord, can’t even have a solid conversation with you.

You understand how patterns work, right? We are taught about them early on. There is no consistency in what went down, the smart thing would be to expect consistency. Going into your account to find out why it’s grey is irrelevant, the initial notion when it pops up is we were opted in if you think in a logical way as that is how it has worked. It’s obvious if you understand anything about human nature you can see a build up into a let down, which will obviously garner emotions. It’s a PR disaster. It’s not 1980, this stuff can be communicated much better and defending such sloppy practices is just pathetic.

The Classic beta has had some of the most active communication of any beta since … probably Wrath. Maybe that’s a low bar, but its nothing to complain about.

Literally people claiming they were trolled or tricked, because they jumped to conclusions about something Blizzard made no statement about… is poor communication.

Zyxel. Eloraell. Is the back and forth really worth it? We all seem to keep having failures in expressing what we mean to the other person. Just. Not worth it lol In the end we all want the same things, and that’s Classic. A healthy Classic.

I’m not saying trolled or tricked. That implies intent. I don’t believe Blizzard intended to do this, no. But it is honestly just a simple fact that communication could be improved in preventing these things and avoid getting those of us that easily jump to conclusions from coming to the forums to huff and puff about it - like the 10 threads that opened within 10 minutes of the launchers reappearing with no word as to why. None of it would have existed if Blizzard just said why they’d being them back in the first place.

You might not be. But you replied to me replying to other people.

I just want that play button to light up. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Although it is certainly less fun to PvP on a character that is instantly 58, no chance to raise it or bond with it first.

I may have misinterpreted you then, my apologies. As I’ve stated. I’m merely discussing the communication aspect in an improvement sense, not an ‘Oh, Blizzard intentionally made me cry.’ sense.

I believe it is.

I have seen Eloraell complain about not having beta incessantly, not to mention post things that aren’t even accurate about the game and needlessly arguing with people only to edit them later saying “sorry I was wrong” (had to strike out the apology part lol)

For someone who posts as much as they do I just wish they’d be a little more composed and actually think about what they are saying before they hit that post button.

Thanks for clearing that up, Kaivax. I guess people aren’t really understanding that it’s just the function being implemented into the battle.net client. I can’t really blame them though, since we’re all chompin’ at the bit and it was very coincidental timing. But thanks again!

I never said tricked or trolled either, I said teased. If you want to see someone who was tricked, may I refer you to:

This is what I mean…

But I’m sure there’s some server tech who thought he was doing a nice thing after seeing the complaints in the Customer Service forum about the client taking up space and uninstallable, who got permission from his boss to enable it where installed even without a test account, so that people could uninstall it.

The interpretation of the community as trolling or being tricked is out of proportion.

Yup. Blizzard didn’t say "Hey, renew your sub and you’ll get to play AV in beta all weekend.’ No. At most it is unintentional teasing. They’re not purposefully going out of their way to upset people, they could just handle it better. They could still handle it worse, mind you. At least he did do a blue post explaining and stating the… Bad… But honest… Answer.

I agree with that, just a simple announcement would have easily sufficed. ‘Doing X later today for X reason, thank you all.’

Yeah I mean of course people are overreacting but I also think they could have done this.

And I also think communication has dropped in quality since Beta came out, where I honestly think it should be at its highest.

But the outrage on both sides of this is just dumb. Of course people are going to complain, that’s like death and taxes.
