the world quest in the emerald dream got me thinking… what would be the best places to surf in azeroth? i wish we knew lore about how the waves break on different coastlines and stuff.
my personal idea is that there’d be great surf in zuldazar. karasang wilds might have some great spots too.
what do you guys think? any ideal surf spots in wow?
Southshore Beach before the blight.
Nazjatar has some pretty good waves.
Isle of Thunder has waves coming into the beach near where the Alli ship is.
Good question,you first have to find a place with wave activity problem is there are none.
Westfall is criminally underutilized. We have beaches where Murlocs party all day and night!

Well I feel like that is a graphical limitation in-game.
Certainly lore wise a lot of places have to have waves!?
But that does raise the question… I wonder if someone could examine all the beaches in WoW and try to scientifically determine how the waves would form and break according to the geography!

Another spot I just thought of is the merchant coast in the Barrens!

The Maelstrom.
The Maelstrom is a massive, fierce vortex of water that was created when the Well of Eternity collapsed into itself during the Great Sundering. It is located in the middle of the Great Sea which subsequently filled the void. The water churns constantly in a dizzying storm of tidal and arcane energy that seems to have no end.

Considering there is no tides, and no waves, I don’t think surfing has even been a thought to the people of Azeroth.
When you log out, them waves start appearing 
But–But they don’t have ten to hang!

There is a toy called the Gnarlwood Waveboard ! “Use: allows you to surf across water.”

Honestly I have no idea about the lore. I have not really paid much to it since… WotLK. I mean, I will read the quest and I pay attention to the movies, eyes are not what they used to be. For years I didn’t have much time to play so I just read what I had to do for the quest, got paid and then killed whatever the next guy that paid me wanted me to do.
