to all the mythic + players out there how do you sim? i heard dungeon slice is not accurate. Any idea how to sim for mythic +? Thanks you
You can’t. Mythic plus is simply too variable to sim for. The best you can do is look at the players who perform best and copy it. Here, check this out:

You can see performance for this week’s affixes only, all affixes, or specific ones. Just go to “Top builds per spec” to see what talents/azerite/essences/corruptions they are using.

Patchwerk +3 seems to work for me for the most part in many specs. It’s not exact by any means, but it can be a good blueprint to start from… it does help especially if you are trying to sim for basic M+ AoE Fortified. Take into account… it’s Patchwerk.
Of course, Affixes change everything and so does your comp since it affects talent choices.
As Augustoc mentioned:
Having a good list of people that are high performers in the spec you are looking for is a great way to see where you should be headed. I don’t necessarily like the “copy paste” recommendation because it also depends on skill and the understanding of your class, but it certainly will give you good bearings on where to go.

I typically do a variety of sims to get a general feel, then combine it with people who are smarter and better than me, and see what they are doing. Then I fit it into how I play.
Hectic Add Cleave, Beastlord, patchwerk +whatever, etc.

I actually look at raider io and see the person who is much better than me how they build their character. Then figure out through practice why they build it the way they do
Yeah just go to like page 2-3 of raider io to weed out all the inhuman monsters that are pulling 4+ packs at once and whatnot and go from there. Same with warcraftlogs for raid bosses typically.
