Best way to justify Tinkers and Engineering coexisting

I’m about to drop the truth so get ready you tinker deniers

So let’s say you maxed out your Dragonflight and TWW engineering.

Are you able to craft anything from older expansions? No, unless you learn them.

Can a goblin spec engineering craft anything from gnomish engineering?

Nope, they’re two separate specs with different recipes.

Can a regular engineer craft mechagon recipes? Nope, you have to use mechagon mats and the crafting table in mechagon.

See where I’m going with this?

Not one flavor of engineering can do it all.

So what if the Tinker class is the ULTIMATE form of engineering and the only way to do so is to be that class?

There you go, a tinker class is just a different sub school of Warcraft tech that needs specialized training.

Boom, you’re welcome. Fight me

So Tinkerer is a more simplified less experienced engineer that can only do technical stuff based on its limited knowledge, while an actual Engineer can make everything from Vanilla to whatever the current expac is and beyond constantly adapting and creating new and better tech. Gotcha.

No…

A tinker would be a highly specialized combat mechanist while engineering is more of a crafting specialist.

See? So simple.

Omg.i finally did it! I finally found the full proof way

No, sorry, you didn’t. Good try tho

Um yeah I did… What’s your rebuttal?

I mean it’s the perfect reasoning.

Try crafting any gnomish crafts as a goblin spec engineer.

Spoiler: you cant

Ahahahah, God damn it, I’m a.genius

You’re welcome Teriz!

I’m smiling from ear to ear right now

No, you aren’t. Thats like saying a dude who drives and maintains his automobile is a skilled as the guy who designed it and the guys that built it. A Tinkerer-drives a mech suit and…throws bombs or rockets like Engineers already can?

You think all airline engineers can fly a plane, papi?

I’m just gonna put you on ignore. No time for

Engineering profession is dead. Not like use to be in the past.
Tinker in the other hand is 20x better than Enginering. Make any type of weapons and gadgets that you don’t see in Enginering. No one can make Engineer better than Tinkers.

They know the physics of how flying works or they couldn’t design an aircraft they would stay airborne…

Knowing the physics ain’t the same as actually piloting bro …

Goblin would say " No one is perfect , Pal. "

God damn I can’t believe I never thought of this before.

It’s perfect.

We win

Not only does this not explain how an engineering profession and an engineering class could coexist, it doesn’t even manage to coexist with itself:

Well which is it? Is it a specialized subschool of engineering or is it “the ultimate” that can do anything?

Neither…

You missed the point.

Again? Can engineering craft anything from mechagon tinkering?

NOPE

So the tinker class can exist as it own school of mechanical knowledge that’s more of a combat role, where as engineering is more of a crafting role.

I explained that pretty clearly so I dunno what you don’t get, lol…

If we’re basing entire classes off of professions I want a fishing class that controls and commands different types of fish to do their bidding and carries a big fishing hook as a weapon

Except fishmaster ain’t some sorely missing fantasy archetype… Cute though, I’ll put it after tinker and bards, how’s that?

Not sure tinker or bard are either outside of a minority of forum users

Tinker yes. Bard, no.
