Aside from running AQ20 / 40, what’s the best approach to grinding CC rep this phase? The wowhead guide’s still written for the earlier phases and makes no mention of the field duty quests. Is it still recommended to grind cultists to honored, or should I just dive right in on field duty quests?
I also have two additional questions.
-Is there merit in giving texts to the hermit instead of that CC NPC for rep? I understand that the hermit can give me a scroll dictating which elemental I can summon -is that useful enough to offset the rep lost from giving him the texts?
-How many field duty quests can I have active at once, and is it possible to keep hoarding them until I get a combination I want (like all lesser windstones; all quests involving a specific hive; etc)?

I ground to exalted pre-p5 so my method will be different to others.
Neutral to friendly= A combination of hard grind and questing.
Friendly to honoured= Hard grind to honoured.
Honoured to rev= Mix in elemental summons + hard grind.
Rev to exalted= Hard grind + handing in texts,except I sent the costumes to an alt who had an easier time soloing the eles which then bounced the signets back to my main.
If I could go back and do it again I’d save all my quests for rev to exalted.
- Every 10 texts is 100 rep you’re missing out on. Find some pleb putting the specific ele summons on the AH IF you need them.
- No clue,but I’m guessing 1 of each type though I’m probably wrong.
Give gold seller mages a month and they will find terrain exploit to boost xp and rep, just like zg.
Doing repeated turn ins of morrowgrain gives rep too.
If you repeatedly do field duty to get tactical missions, and just do the scout report at hive zora and ashi, it can go fairly quickly, like maybe 1500 rep per hour if you’re booking it and not having to kill many bugs/pvp. Though with you being horde, maybe hive regal/ashi are better choices.
Personally, I did the entire grind as a dagger rogue and found myself only needing a few weeks to do the entire thing pre-PH5.
Obviously, you spend the entire Neutral through Honored grind killing mobs one by one while hoarding both the texts and the cultists sets. Once you hit Honored, start summoning the Templars and holding onto the Abyssal Crests. I would also start timing out the Twilight Prophet Spawns as they can drop anywhere from 7 to 10 texts, plus whatever her guards drop.
Soloing a Twilight Prophet and her goons is easy enough as a rogue.

Distract 2 Avengers so they take extra time getting to you.

Cheap Shot the Prophet 70% into an energy tick.

Immediately pop Adrenaline Rush and begin Backstabbing.
Make sure you keep her stunned and kicked to avoid taking extra damage. Pop Evasion as soon as the extra 2 Avengers get to you.

Vanish, reset, and Sap one of the Avengers, and use Blade Flurry to take down the remaining three, and, if you do enough damage, they will be down easy enough.
For the north Prophet spawn, her 20 minute respawn timer begins as
soon as all 4 of her Avenger guards are down.
South Prophet spawn takes roughly an hour and her patrol is wonky.
3 Abyssal Crests will get you 50 reputation on the repeatable quest. 10 Encrypted Twilight Texts will give you 100 reputation on the repeatable quest.
You need 2,100 Twilight Texts alone to plow through Exalted, so I would save any and all you get through the Neutral to Revered grind.
** This is obviously pre-PH5 but I do know that the badge quests also give you rep, and you will need to do them for Earthstike anyways.
