Last expansion I went from dinging max → M0’s instantly at like 218ilvl.
This expansion, I don’t know what to do. Don’t like quests really. I don’t grind rep. Delves say they give 554 gear currently locked at tier 3. Normal dungeons give 554. Says you need 551 for Heroic. Am I really supposed to slam my face against normal dungeons until nearly every slot gets a piece?
Not paying stupid amounts of gold for BoEs on the AH.
You can get better and upgradeable gear from rare spawns and world quests in the open world once you outgear normal dungeons.
Use stones to get all gear to 480. Get 3 pieces from renown vendors. Use crest to craft the rest.
When you say craft. Do you mean upgrade the gear ?
You can use 30 crest and mats and have an enchanter make a crest that makes it so crafters can upgrade the blue craft to purple. Check my boots and wrist.
*I tried upgrading a piece I made the other day but it wouldn’t let me so I just recrafted a new piece with the crest.
**Use up all your crest and stones now to craft and upgrade your slots. Might as well.
How is this different from me using the heroic gear of with 15 withered to upgrade to 586 6/8
In case you didn’t get any drops for that slot while farming heroics. Plus you can choose the stats.

Rank 4(586). Max without spark is rank 5(590) atm. Can’t craft 590 yet.

Do you have 10k gold? Can you figure out where the Auction house is? Literally 556 greens for 500g in there. Hit 80 bought my gear and been doing heroics
I didnt notice it. There was no heroic in Early Access. I was ilevel 559 when they unlocked heroic. I just queue for it and it let me do it.
I did tons of Normal dungeon runs… not just for ilevel 554 gear but also for Valorstones. I got some upgradeable gear mostly from Rares and Chests. World Quests too especially the Epic World Quest that you need to unlock after doing 3x World Quests.
You’re better off figuring out how you can acquire gold to buy gear off the AH, not even joking.
Hundreds, literally 3 digit amounts.
Steal them from races smaller than you. Gnomes, Other Gnomes, Goblins, Fox, sometimes Dwarfs. Ever push a gnome into a puddle after you take their armor? It’s hilarious.
Absolutely wild to me people saying get gear form world quests when there’s maybe 2 pieces max available. Then you have to wait how long for more?
There is an unhealthy amount of blizzard defending and bad game design defending going on with this expansion.
dont worry about it too much. Just wait til M0 comes out and have fun with the daily lockout with friends (if you got em). This super early expansion gearing is kinda cringe anyway. at 570 im doing 1m dps as outlaw, its all good.
Nope. You can easily gear with WQ and regular quests. I just did the campaign, WQ, and dungeons. I got over 551 in less than a day.
If you don’t do the quest part your road will be much harder. That’s just how they designed it.
I think you know every solution to your problem, but don’t like any of them. Not sure what else you could do because it doesn’t sound like you want to play the game.
