Best way to get a group for doing Dawn of the Infinite for the first time?

Tried making a group on the group finder, but even if you specifically announce “Fresh - First Time” people usually leave after a handful of attempts and then it becomes a cicle of having to explain everything we learned on the first pulls over again to the new people joining and, well, I am looking for any resource such as discord to form a group willing to through start to finish, guild is currently a no-go in my case.

Don’t put “First Time” in the name, invite only people who’ve done the dungeon and let them carry you. Easy.

Yeah but that isn’t exactly fun, I was looking to do content, not get a free carry.

What you want to do is list it as learning or progression. Then filter as you please. Honestly the dungeon is really hard your first time but once you get an idea of the mechanics it really isn’t difficult besides maybe the last two bosses. The second boss is also a bit challenging but thats only if you focus too much on the mechanics. You’re better off standing still and bursting the boss than trying to change shades.

Well that’s thing, I don’t mind the difficulty, I prefer it, what I mean is that people on LFG never stick around, at the first sign of struggle most just give up and go home, what I am looking for is a way to find a group willing to stick through until the end like a discord or subreddit that allow such to be formed.

Oi! I still need to run that. And my back is freshly injected with enough corticosteroids that for the next few days days I can sit for longer periods of time.

Alright, sent a request, we can try to form a group then, maybe ask people around on Trade Chat too.

Outside of a known group of players, you’re not likely to find this right away. Best you can hope for is early successes and keeping that momentum going until it’s more time efficient for the group to stay and finish. Some players might always bail after X boss, because they’re not looking for completion/progression.
As with any group, you want to make sure players know what they’re getting into, and if they want to bail do so before starting.

I’m sure some of the M+ communities are also running Dawn groups (in preparation for S3) so you could always start there.

You’re going to get so many friend requests and then odd messages asking if you have a boyfriend.

Watch out!

This is going to be the experience you will have in a mega dungeon.

You would be better off listing it as “completion” that is more likely to attract like-minded playerd

can anyone confirm this is a good idea?

Listen - I need stalkers, in order to slake my thirst for sarcasm this week.

As a caster maybe, no way a melee can just turret away.
Plus, the aoe pulse should always go off in the light versus the shade.

Iirc you can jump over the swirl

Watch a video and learn the mechanics. Tell no one it’s your first time. If you die, say “mb” before anyone can flame you.

i have had success with the word “learning” in the group advertisement.

But running the whole thing the very first time with other a pug not on comms, who are also doing it their first time can easily take 2-4 hours.

this does not work with the morchie traps. they will trap you even if you try to jump

this can work for everyone except the tank. if they stand in the light section, they will get hit back to back by the blast and the second one will hurt. if the tank isn’t geared, they will just die. the exception, of course, is for no one else to get hit by the frontal, in either pie color.

This the way!

I think they’re more likely to become Evilmuffins victims.
