I’m enhance shaman, i figured there were other ways to get 100% speed mounts besides buying it with gold? like raids, dungeons, or achievements?

there is a baron mount but droprate is about 0.08%
Farm mara till you have 400gold then do the warlock quest and pay another lock for a discount on the 3 mats to summon the dreadsteed

There is only one advantage in game to make it cheaper that I know of…rolling a human.
alterac wolf costs 640 or so
there’s only one mount drop right now - horse from stratholme. You’ll never get it.

I would get both discounts, the 10% discount from being honored with your faction and the 10% discount from being rank 3 in PvP so the cost goes from 1000 gold to 800 gold.
After that it depends on class or what you like doing best. I got the 100% speed on my mage by farming ZF/Mara, doing herbalism and farming ele fires.
Have you considered mailbox dancing?

Hop in a time machine and go back to the first few days when AV launched - get exalted in 1 day.
Get rank 3 in PvP, and revered or exalted with your faction. Farm dungeons. Don’t buy stuff you don’t need.
Get rank 11 in pvp and choose between your four mounts.
There are many ways, but buying them with gold is by far the easiest one.
The hardest one is farming Baron’s mount. Then it’s rank 11/Winterspring Frostsaber
Rank 11 very cheap, run strat 1k times, av rep 690g, and exalted 900

Herbalism/Alchemy is by far the most profitable profession combo to have as far as I’m concerned. It kind of just poops gold, especially nice when you’re leveling an alt. Mining can make some gold, especially if you’re lucky with arcane crystals, but far less reliable.
As a warrior I also don’t mind farming SFK. It’s about 4-5G in gold after you vendor all the junk and each run takes me about 20 minutes or so. Wool cloth sells decently on my server and I sell the greens for 25s-75s and maybe find a good item for 1-4G so my average run is probably 7-10G. There’s also a chance at a twink item that’ll go for at least 100G or just a mediocre one that’ll go for like 10-20G. Still no twink item after a solid 80+ runs though so don’t count on seeing one.
