Many of the Alliance servers are now full. Dalaran, Proudmore, Stormrage - these three are always the ones listed as the go-to server but you can’t now. So, what are the next best options? Clearly Runetotem/Uther/Alextrasza are nice but not very populated. Any ideas on a good server? Thanks.

Unfortunately, that is full as well.
Err, yes you can. Full doesn’t mean you can’t make new characters there, or that you can’t transfer there. It’s just an indication of how many people are actively playing on the realm, which could result in a login queue around patches/expansion launches.
Doesn’t have any other meaning to it.

Ah ok…well, then for patch/expansion days, would rather be in a “medium/high” server then.

pve servers arent a thing anymore. it’s just rp and non rp
I assume the op meant they are looking for a goid server for pve content, i.e lots of raiding guilds.

I’ve always played on full servers and i haven’t even gotten a wait queue since maybe mop release.
That was my first thought. But then I noted they didn’t mention Sargeras or Kel’thuzad, so I thought a high probability they didn’t understand that there weren’t PvP servers anymore.

How is the raiding scene on what were pvp servers? I originally started playing on pvp servers and noone i played with cared about raiding. But it seemed like there was more barrier to entry for raiding in vanilla and tbc compared to now.
Very strong. Just take a look at the wowprogress listing, which shows overall server progression strength as well as alliance:horde ratio, time zone, etc.:

Agreed! Area 52 is an awesome server and very heavily populated. Mostly Horde though I believe.
Go to realmpop(dot)com and you can sort servers by Alliance or Horde population, and even Alliance-to-Horde ratio.
What about tichondrius? I’m moving my alliance char to a better alliance server too. I tried horde but I’m a die hard human paladin. Not fighting alongside orcs or evil sylvanas or goblins. Knight of the Silver Hand
