Warriors can already break fear, so WOTF loses some functionality on them. Everything else doesn’t matter. Their racials give no specific stats and the proc rates are averaged over weapon speed and have a proc per minute soft limit besides. So mechanically, anything.

I always thought the Undead Mages of Vanilla were so awesome. And I remember watching the PVP videos of old, like Vurtne and Unknown - they made it seem like being an Undead Mage was the pinnacle of fun.

Fair enough but I did say “In terms of taking the greatest advantage of their racials” which granted may not have been the clearest way to express what I was trying to get at.

-Warlock, particularly destro and aff
-Female undead warrs are unusually amazing…
Their DPS racial is pretty close to everyone else’s, but probably better on a class with abysmal healing.

Not really. Cannibalize can be used in combat. Mage food can’t.

Undead are not about racials, or looks, cus your transmog gonna look like crap, it’s not about lore either. It’s about the Undead dance, it’s far an away the best coding this game has ever received and upon 1st seeing an undead do the moves over 12 years ago I found myself unable to not buy this game.

Because you seem to have a better understanding of how Touch of the Grave procs, I was wondering what your thoughts are on Undead simming highest (for the horde) for Fire Mage in M+ according to herodamage. I was thinking it had do to with Ignite and the mass ammount dot ticks it enables. Do dot ticks trigger ToTG?
It surprises me a bit because their big CD is on a nice 2 min CD, which coincides with other racials.
I imagine the reason UD is leading the pack is because of the massive pulls in high end M+s. TotG has no ICD and procs off of all dmg: direct, dot, aoe, autoattacks… everything. Their dots automatically apply and spread and they’re constantly doing aoe with flamestrike and meteor. TotG can also crit (unless it changed) and fire stacks crit, plus has guaranteed crit during combustion. The procs per minute on TotG is usually around 3, but i suppose because of all the enemies getting hit and crit that it could bump them up above other racials.
edit: that being said, I’m not 100% sure. You could try asking the mage forums, as they might know more about it. I haven’t played my mage since last xpac so maybe something has changed. Again, it surprises me that it beats out blood fury since it lines up with their huge damage spike, but… yeah.
