Best transmog farming class

What class would work best for transmog farming in old raids?

DH works wonderful for farming leather mogs with great AoE and very fast. But tbh there’s no best class, if you’re trying to get a elusive mog piece you should be going on all of your leather toons for example the DH alt, the Rogue alt, the Druid alt, the Monk alt.

Warrior because they have access to every weapon in the game except Wands (no one cares about) and Warglaives (one expac and one class anyway).

Hunters are also really good and can just barrage down an entire dungeon.
Everything is a hunter weapon.

You’ll still get the cloth items you want to have on your druid though, and the leather on your mage. Cause that’s how it works.

If you want to farm legacy weapons, Warriors and Hunters are perfect for the job.

This is kind of a dumb question, but if I get say a plate piece on my druid, does it unlock the skin or do I need to loot the piece on a plate wearer?

plate stuff unlocks on a plate user, same for every armor type

You have to get the gear on a class it is ment for. Aka cloth on mage, leather on rogue, mail on shaman and plate on dk.

used to be Rogues, but I’m thinking Monks now.

How have I been playing this game since wrath and am just now finding out that’s how transmog works xD

To be fair you use to have to keep the item you wanted to use for xmog as well. Sold those sick shoulders? Better go farm them again.

The only thing that matters is move-speed… find the class with the best move-speed and that’s the best farmer. Locks would be the worst choice followed by priests and Death Knights. At the top are your super mobile classes with dashes and speed boosts, your Demon Hunters, Monks and rogues.

I hope this helps.

Druids are one of my favorite classes to farm on, if you want cloth or leather at least. With the teleport to Dreamgrove and back you don’t have to walk to the enterance for the older dungeons and raids. Helpful if you want to stay in the same area.

Arcane mage for cloth…(yay mana fart, and ohhh invis, then port out!)
Hunters for mail and any weapon…(everything is a hunter weapon! and ohh camo.)
DK’s for plate… (because pallies are slow on the kill, and the ability to YOINK mobs to you is great.)
Rogues for leather…(Trash mobs? what’s that?)

I’d pick,

  • Arcane mage for cloth
  • DH/Monk for leather
  • Hunter for mail
  • Warrior for plate

On a related topic, am I the only one who is a little too paranoid who kept all his transmogs in his bank/void storage “Just in-case” some catastrophe happens and somehow this saves “some” of my mogs.

I m pretty sure my void storage is still stuffed with mogs though it’s mostly because I’m to lazy to clean it out.

It depends on what you are after since mogs are armor type specific.

In my opinion,
Plate - paladins
Chain - shaman
Leather - druids
Cloth - mage

In my experiences, Druids and DHs are most fun for me to farm Leather pieces.
When I get any other armor type I like, I usually send it off to an alt that can equip/get the mog.
