I play SS in the afternoon and then again late at night. I noticed I tend to gain rating faster during the afternoon, but very late at night I often see my gains erased; I end up with players who can’t communicate because they don’t speak English or are truly awful at the game. I’m talking Mages running away from opponents like it’s PvE and never using Blink, melee LoS healers, the other DPS never once using CC on anyone but their current target, etc.
Is this common for late night arenas and SS? Is there a better time of day for pushing rating?
this is real
if you q too early you have a higher chance of running into “full time”er desperate for a crumb of content
if you q earlier than prime time but not crazy early you have the highest odds of encountering average players
prime time (8-10pst) is a grab bag
then anything later and you’re significantly more likely to q into way better players at the same mmr
Then even later than that and it’s nothing but CN or KR which isn’t always a bad thing

Thanks, Remi!
Yeah, I don’t mind the CN or KR players at all. They do well. For some reason 1-3 AM is the best time to get players from Ragnaros, though. I’ll adjust my schedule accordingly, thank you again!
I find that a lot of ww and dks queue after 10pm so I stopped queuing then. 5-9:59pm is the best time.

I generally enjoy the 5am eastern slot when playing as a dps, but early afternoon, like between 12 and 2 is pretty good for healing I find.

It’s actually the same number of WW and DKs.
It’s just that the other specs/classes go to sleep after 10 pm.
