Trying to decide on my main for 9.2. I pug m+ so would like a tank with a good DPS spec. Thought on what might be the best? Or should I just main a DPS this go around…
Go bear, mobility + heal offspec if needed

Probably brew or guardian as good tanks with decent a dps off spec. Although balance will use different gear than guardian
Was kind of thinking those two as well. I guess feral could be fun in PvP and balance for pve
Stay blood and top the healing meter. 
Paladin is going to be doing the most damage. And they’re really tanky.

Druid is great fun, can confirm. They’re the only tank with a ranged dps spec too.

conversely, if you wanna go with strong dps specs with serviceable tanking*, go warrior?
I get prot is bottom draw currently, but afaik, the gap between best and worst for tanks isn’t the chasm it’s been in the past.

This is true. Warrior is pretty fun at the moment for tank and dps.

That’s the main reason I picked druid way back when. The ability to play any of the four roles is great, with the drawback that you have a somewhat less complete toolkit for each.

I love blood - my favorite tank spec. I just wish I enjoyed the other two a bit more. They aren’t bad… but I prefer warrior DPS, monk, and even DH. Maybe it’s the lack of mobility of DK in general…

Bear is the best tank to have a good DPS spec (Boomkin pumps), but Prot Paladin and Brewmaster Monk are arguably the superior tanks although the viability of Windwalker isn’t exactly very clear since it’s either broken in AoE or bad in single-target. Ret is just gloriously mediocre in most PvE content right now.
Fair warning though: Prot Paladin is not an easy spec. It has a much higher skill floor and far and away the highest skill cap among any tank specs because of how many tools you have (and how many of them you need to take advantage of), but the spec is so unique and so uniquely strong that if you take the time to get good at it you will have a blast.

Druid all the way really. They have two specs for dps, as well as healer along with tank.
I also believe druids are the best tank atm ircc, right infront of dk. You can get one shot easier as dk , but not as druid.

I’ve never had a problem mastering my prot paladin, and yes, they are pretty much the best tanks right now, at least in my opinion. Kinda hard to kill a tank that can heal themselves as good as prot pallys.
However, the OP asked for a tank with a good DPS, that would be either warrior or druid. Both solid tanks and solid dps.

DH even after getting nerfed then unnerfed they still make great tanks and DPs.

For keys specifically
Brewmaster is a godo tank.
Necro Windwalker is keys pumper.
Dk’s are meh… Can be good tanks. DPS is nothing special.
Warriors tanks are meh imho. But really good dps.
Bears are good tanks, but I personally think Boomies are meh. It’s super easy to be a bad boomie. High skill cap.
Paladins are great tanks. Trash DPS.
Just my 2 cents.
I was main Bear in Season 1 and 2. And now I started playing Brewmaster. I am never going back to bear. So much more fun. But bear is defo the easiest one.

Vengeance DH’s can self heal very well, just saying. There’s a DPS spec, but I hate DPS, so I never played it except when in the training area of Mardun.
