Best specs for mainly soloing

Fairly new to game… I am looking for the top 3 or so specs that are best for an above average skill player that will be soloing 95% of the time. Will do leveling 50-60 and then dailies, Torghast and WQ’s… Maybe a few Heroics now and then but not many. No Mythic+ or raiding.

What say you guys? Thank you!

Anything with self healing. Paladin, Druid, Priest, Shaman would be the 4 most obvious ones. As per usual, I’d recommend Druid, as you can be 1 of any 4 different specs. Melee, ranged, healer, tank. Druid is really fun, but the most complicated of any of the classes to fully play.

If it was me, I’d go druid any and every day of the week. Stealth and heals in every spec, very easy to solo with, very easy to do Torghast with, and every spec is at least good right now. You can actually level in any of the 4 specs, because druids get ‘affinities’ that allow them some skills from one of the other sets. I leveled a lot of the way as resto with feral affinity. Literally unkillable, can solo elites, etc.

Paladin is my choice

My recommendation would be either druid or hunter. Hunters are like the soloist masters. Druids give you the chance to experiment with all roles without making a new toon

Beast master hunter. They are invincible short of trying to take on a world boss.

Demon hunter is the most “fun” solo spec by far. They have decent self healing and double jump/glide/gel rush makes playing the class a blast. I put fun in quotes because fun is obviously subjective

True, DH if you aren’t interested in old content and going straight to end game

Blood DK or Prot Paladin. If you’re not into being a tank spec, I’ve found that Ret Paladin is still really good. Shamans, Enhance or Elemental, have an Earth Elemental that can emergency tank for you, as well as self healing.

I can’t get used to the HoT shaman, but resto druids are smooth.

Monk or Dh, thier mobility makes anything you do enjoyable.

Yeah not like DKs with one foot in a bucket of cement

Not sure I understand this… What does old content have to do with DH?

Thanks to everyone for their input. Its between DH, Monk and Hunter (not sure what specs tho). I did play a Druid and I like seeing MOG’s too much heh. I know they have the Glyphs but not the same…Sorry, dumb girl I know.

I think mobility is huge and ease of Toghast for sure it important… WHich
of the 3 classes spec is best for soloing Torghast?

My bad. Didn’t know that it was reduced in SL. Used to be 98/55 and put you in later content.

Unitonically mage. Once you get good it’s the most rewarding spec to solo with. It’s difficult to solo with and not as easy as a faceroll tank class or DH but you feel extremely powerful once you learn the ins and outs of blink/frost nova kiting etc.

I would say I’m a long time casual player that mostly solos.
My favorites are always the tank classes as nothing is more fun than taking on everything In sight and coming out alive!

Torghast is a breeze so far on my warrior, bear and Brewmaster.

scaling issues aside, Ive been having a good time with Resto druid for solo content.
Fights take a little longer, but you can heal thru most anything most of the time (again…exept where that idiotic scaling problem or something buggy happens) but 99% of the time you just stealth right past the bad guys anyway.

The downside is resto druid is a few more buttons to press.

I’d say Druid, Shaman, Hunter or Paladin.

Double jump is nice. So is glide.

Some of the more “fun” treasure chests in say revendreth are less of an an issue for dh.

YOu don’t go gee how do i get there. You jump and glide and land…done. VDH is what you’d aim for. Even a 1 on 1 with a Maw bonus objective boss can be humbling experience even at 179 (what mine is at) for havoc.

2nd choice, although not as good as it used to be is BM hunter. Pets tanks and attacks and you shoot. Pets to me were better in the past.

Still viable. I have my MM hunter main go to BM for some solo content like Torghast. Even off spec’d stats it does what I need it to do well enough.
