I used my Legion boost on my mage and tried to level her, but had no idea what I was doing and finished every fight either dead or with a critical amount of HP left. I attempted all three specs and was terrible at all of them. Of course, we’re in a whole new expansion now and my mage is sitting at around 103.
What spec is the easiest/best for solo/best survivability? I main a priest (disc when solo or in pvp, holy in group pve) if it helps.
Can’t speak for Frost, but soloing I prefer Arcane over Fire for general adventuring. You can slow as an opener (and at 50 yards with a War Mode talent), hit hard single target, stay at max damage for your next target if you keep all 4 Arcane charges, and have extra shimmers. AOE is also consistently good with right talents / azerite gear.
Fire I only find better for soloing bigger elites.
Frost more for AOEing
Fire for blasting 1 by 1
I dont know arcane.
Fire…Gpyro, Meteor, Gpyro…blast blast insta pryro if need be.
