I want to focus on raiding and M+, but mainly raiding, ive been reading and watching some videos but there are so many aspects of this exp that im just overwhelmed, which one right now is the best spec for pve?
All three are good.
So just pick what you like best.

Frost… Doesn’t feel great. I really recommend arcane if you want to put the time in to master it. It just FEELS good to spit out the arcane rotation and see big numbers. Frost is so rng based, that its frustrating when your rng procs hit for forgettable damage

It really is exhausting
Okay so any video you watch right now was made before the expansion went live. That means they were using info beta testers were using. There were nerfs to Frost. So whatever you do do not, do not, watch any vid that says Shadowlands mage build! They need to be updated and probably will be after next week.
If they were being honest they would tell all mages to go Night Fae for Coventry and stick with Arcane and or Fire. Frost over performed in beta with the 3 free Brain freezes and now as a result we were nerfed, so I’d say don’t use Frost at all. Arcane is a better spec and it’s just as competitive for Solo PvE and way more controlled for M0. Plus if you think fire is a better choice for you you don’t have to worry about switching covenants.
