Hey guys! Looking to get into RBGs and I imagine that most teams will want me to defend nodes so because of that I’m wondering what the strongest 1v1 spec for Rogue is. I’ve been playing Assassination all of BFA but I feel pretty confident in the other two so I don’t swapping would be too hard.
To be honest I think you should play what you’re most comfortable with/what you have the most fun on.
Both sin and outlaw are in pretty good spots right now and there’s a dude in my guild that kicks @$% on his sub rogue. I’m a little hesitant to try sub myself.
Agreed.
All three specs have the tools to help you survive a 1v1 until help arrives. They each have various forms of utility to help in the team fights.
You have to find the one you feels right for your team.
My 2 cents, I find sub once you blow your load on a target you run the risk of running out of options and usually end up dead before you get the opportunity to have everything available again. Assassination isn’t as bursty , but it can be a quick death sentence for some especially if you hit hard, vanish and hit again
if you are looking for pure 1v1 i feel sub is hard to not choose.
The reason being that sub dictates the tempo of the fight via all the cc the class offers.
Why would you blow your load when defending a base? Thats just stupid unless you 100% know you can beat them. Call for help and survive until it gets there.
I think what I was meaning is that I used to find Sub much easier to manage back in the day and now it requires you to expend a lot more CD’s to do the same burst. By that I mean you have to blow your load on the guy instead of managing him like we used to
Stick to one spec for 10 years and you won’t have to ask the question again.
While I appreciate that you have a loving and committed relationship with a Gnome, I take offense to the term “spec”…
… oh wait! Totally not what you meant.
Outlaw is the most flexible. It has arguable the best sustain with a good amount if eng burst. Grapling hook is more flexible mobility over shadowstep. Blade flurry really punishes teams that try and train someone. You have a disarm on top of your anti caster tool kit… Oh a gouge.
